Have you seen this problem before?
This is awkward to diagnose. Sounds like a gas problem. Ensure the gas cell is in date. paslode print use by date on bottom. next ensure valve fitted to cell is correct normally yellow. When stopped firing press gas cell door (actuator) does it fire one more time? If yes it could be the actuator getting weak I have seen this cause similar problems to what you are experiencing.
SOURCE: NAILER WONT FIRE NAILS
DO NOT USE WD40 . Is The Nailer fireing? If Not check the micro switch by the fan . Make sure it is pushing on the switch.. Otherwise bend it a little
SOURCE: bought paslode 350/90 nailer on ebay did not come with instructio
That is not true you may have it vapor locked look at the firing mechanism in the top front and clean it with degreaser and then very lightly re-oil it and try that before throwing it away
SOURCE: I have a PASLOAD 325
checkk the safety to make sure it fully depresses. Also check the gas for the expiration date that is on eht bottom and lastly did you replace the O ring in the fan area if it is an older unit. What I do is leave the top cover with the filter off and pull the pusher spring all the way back and then WITHOUT gas OR ATTERY in tool push down to make sure the safety fully depresses. Also did you remember to reinstall the push rods. also look at the gas stem.
SOURCE: I changed the gas cylinder in my paslode framing
Make sure you have the correct gas cylinder. There are more than one type of cylinders for these nailers. If it is not correct it won't seat and gas will leak. Whiring sound is normal, fan mixing oxygen. Make sure "O" ring is in place under the gas cylinder.
SOURCE: The problem of intermittent firing
what is the expiration date on the bottom of the fuel cell?? Also what were the condition of the o rings and did you relube with a good quallity oil. What I would do is remove the front assembly to expose the fan only and then insert a battery, pull the trigger and the fan should run for a few seconds, next there is a roller lever towards the top, depress it keeping fingers away from fan and again it should run for a few seconds, next depress and hold the lever and then pull the trigger and you should see it fire, repeat this several times, that will narrow it down to the spark unit/electronic assenbly or the cylinder.
