Probably not. Those elements are like light bulb filaments. When they burn out, you replace them. You could likely find the part online and put it in yourself.

I have a HeatDish plus footlight. Worked fine for a while. Light went out, but the buzzer still worked when it was tipped so no big deal. Then it quit. I have taken it apart and note the contacts are...

Got the same or almost the same issue, no light (burnt out). I bypassed the temp switch on the top by taping the contacts together and it works, so I'll presume the problem is in the temperature switch. It worked fine last I'd used it so I don't know why all of a sudden it won't work presumably due to the temp switch.
I'm going to call to see about parts tomorrow, then decide whether to fix it or just replace it. I don't feel I've had reasonable usage out of it, so won't likely buy the same IF I can't fix it.
Theses are a simple device, almost like a toaster in complexity, so it's kind of amazing it didn't last longer than it did.

My whirlpool gas dryer is no longer heating. Could it be a fuse? Or more likely an elelment?

gas dryer does not have an element
it could be the one of the thermal fuses that has gone bad as well as the ignitor. if the ignitor is not pulling enough current it will not open the gas valve in order to light the gas.

HEATER IS NOT WORKING MARVIN MODEL 3150

One of the techniques I found to "re-energize" an Quatrz elelment is to Remove the cool element (unit unplugged, of course) and try to smooth the ends with sandpaper (220 grit) and then do the smae for the contacts. Replace element and see if it lights up.

Rmember NOT TO TOUCH quartz element with Bare Hands!!

Oil from skin can react with elelment and cause it to explode.

No heat

since the light is on its own circuit this dont surprise me at all. The most likely cause of this is the contacts on the inside of the heater. the wire inside of the unit is very small for a heater, bad design, and is conected by spade conectors. my wire in mine burnt through and did the same thing. I bought some good thick wire and rewired the unit direct and this seemed to fix the problem. If you need further assistance check out some of my other solutions in this same area.

No heat in the main oven

Hi

We had the same problem - turned out to be the fan oven element - simple to fit - remove the back plate around the fan (6 screws) to expose the element. Remove screws securing element and disconnect wires (mark wires before removing) Our replacement was £40, but take the original as there are quite a few variants - you will also need the full ENR number (on side of housing) However, be aware that if this does not work, the thermostat may also have blown with the element. We were lucky as replacing the elelment fixed the problem.

Whirlpool built-in single oven AKZ451/IX/01

If this is an older oven, check to see if it has a control knob or switch labeled "manual and "hold". Make sure it's set for manual. The hold setting maintains temp at about 140 degrees.
If not the case, is this gas or electric?
