How do i use and install the mounting kit

To mount it under a cabinet, you have to have the under cabinet install kit; you'll find that here: Under Cabinet Mounting Kit WX4 A019 GE Appliances the kit does include instructions. You can't mount it without the kit.

The radio mounts from the back side of the kit using ISO mount screws. You cannot mount the radio using the metal sleeve as with most other installations. The instructions that came with the Scosche kit illustrate this method.

It is usually a good idea to buy the installation kit, mainly for the wiring harness, but sometimes extra mounts are required during installation that are included in the installation kit. It is possible to install a stereo without the kit, but I highly recommend the kit.

Get a mirror mounting kit a an auto parts store. Remove the mounting plate from the mirror. It takes a small Torx wrench or a hex wrench might work. Follow the instructions on the kit. Be sure to take note of the direction of the mounting plate as it will be difficult to remove it if it is upside down

My suggestion would be to buy a wiring harness and a dash mounting kit. After that unscrew or pull out the console/dash part thats around your factory deck. Then unscrew the bolts/screws holding the factory one in place. Remove it. Plug the wiring harness into the factory wire plug. Pull harness wires through the mounting kit. Attach the corresponding colored wires from the harness to your new deck. Slide your deck into the mounting kit and secure it in place. Most decks have little prongs that you can pry up to **** up against the mounting kit so it wont slide out without pushing those down (makes it more secure and harder to steal). Place deck with mounting kit into area factory deck was. Put the screws/bolts back into place tightly. Place console/dash part back on. You will need the mounting kit (99% of new decks are smaller than the factory). Wiring harness is optional but recommended.

Well if you do not already have it you need to purchase two (2) items, the first being the installation kit, and the second the mount kit. Yeah it seems strange you buy the mounting kit and you still need to spend another $70 or so for another kit.
with the kits and or the tour-pak you will have directions and hardware to drill the tour-pak and the bolts to install it with. hope this helps,

yes.......... just buy a mounting kit for your car and a wire harness for your car.........to install just unplug factory radio and clip the harness on to factory plugs that you just unhooked from factory radio now just attach the same colour to colour wires from your new deck to the harness......mounting kit comes with instructions
(make sure to buy WIRE HARNESS & MOUNTING KIT for your car) and your install should take less than a hr to do
