Sometimes the timer display fades but still working in background, if all dead now then probably means you need new timer as ovens shouldn't work if clocks not set to manual mode.
Try turning oven on then messing with buttons, usually the 2 left buttons and one far right should do trick.. push 2 left first, keeping them pressed push far right!

SOURCE: Neff U1721 Double Oven - No Heat

If the fan is running then it is unlikely to be the clock/timer. Yopu need to check if there is voltage to the element but you MUST be careful to avoid an electric shock. There is sometimes a thermal cut out in line with the supply from the thermostat and that would need to be checked. If all OK the thermostat is the likely offender

SOURCE: Neff U1661 main element doesn't heat up

    Hi.

    Yes ,it is the element.

You need to remove the panel at the rear of the oven, this will give you access to the element.

    Good luck

To gain access to the NEFF element .you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element,. if you look closely at the element .you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. The bottom (fan oven) of my Neff U1721 made soft bang noise and failed. The fan stopped, the oven light went out and the thermostat light. I replaced the burnt out heating with a new element with a 32.5...

The power to the fan and thermostat is the fault. You will need to trace wiring from these elements to power source and I suspect that where the power cord meets the oven is where you'll find the cause.

    Oven not heating

    Hello.
If the fan is working, but there is no heat, then it is the fan oven element that needs to be replaced.
It has nothing to do with timer on this occasion.
Remove panel at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the round element.
Undo fixing screws, and remove element, disconnect leads and fit onto new element, refit new elemrnt, replace cover, and job done!!!

Please leave a fixya rating for my solution.
    Thankyou

Light and fan come on but oven does not heat up

If the fan comes on, it will not be the timer, it will be the oven element not working.
Remove inner rear cover of oven, and you will see the element, remove screws and element, detach wires and fit on new element, be careful not to loose the wires behind rear of oven.
You may not see anything wrong with element, but the odds are that is the prob.
Please leave a fixya rating for my proposed solution.
    Yhanks.

Neff B1432 Oven Not Heating; oven light flickering

If the fan is working o/k then you need a new element fitting.
Remove the panel at the rear of the oven, there you will see the element, remove the fixing screws and ease the element forward, taking care not to lose the wires, disconnect the leads and fit new element.
The light flickering is probably the bulb not screwed in propely or a bad contact, nothing to worry about.
    Plz rate my solution.
    Thanks

    Smeg oven

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
    1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
    2. If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
    3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.
