My LG flat screen tv keeps turning off. It will be on for a while and then all of a sudden it turns off and it will not turn back on until the next day. Can you tell me what's wrong??
I Have the same problem, LG 32" , LC2D a couple of work arounds that work are
1) - never unplug the mains plug
2) - i noticed it does this when the clock time is --:-- , i find that switching to digital tv can stop this,
however these are only tempory fixes and the problem re surfices, as i have found out after having no problem for 12 months, i have accidently unplugged the mains, and now the tc keep turning itself off,

I have the same problem with a brand new 47" LG LCD. The green light comes on with power button on remote followed by the system shutting down into standby mode (red light). Should I go back to supplier or am I missing something basic, maybe power supply or sleep mode etc
I have an LG 37" LCD TV and tonight the picture cut out, but the sound remained. The picture would return momentarily, but then it would just go black again. Then, it started turning itself off. I bought it the first part of September, so it's just a bit over 2 months old. Very disappointing, as nothing I done will fix it.
Do you have the same Problem
can anybody tell what the problem is?
We've experienced the same problem with our LG 37" LCD HDTV. Since it was still under warranty, we called in for a repair. Someone came out and replaced the computer board inside the TV. Guess what happens now? It turns ON all by itself instead of turning off. It's the exact same issue--just in reverse now.
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a TV problem... I have the LG 37", bought it @ Best Buy Aug '07, model # 37LC7D. Everything was fine until May 1, '08. The picture kept going off and on (esp when watching CSI - ??). Now it doesn't have a picture at all, but the sound comes in loud & clear. And just today it turned itself off!
Flabergasted & pissed I Googled the TV and found lots of web sites of people complaining of the same symptoms. I spent a lot of money on this set as did a lot of other folks. And then I heard about a "recall" but nothing on the LG website. Someone said LG knew about the problem, but sold the HDTV's anyway. (Product from China?) I went onto Best Buy & they don't sell it anymore. They have another model # for the 37". My TV's serial # is dated May 2007, yet all those models have been pulled from the shelves! I wonder why.... duh! So I called LG's cust service # and spoke to someone who told me to reset it. I unplugged it for a minute then held down the power button for 30 secs. Then to turn it on by the TV button, not the remote. We did that dog and pony show for several minutes and it did nothing!
Convinced now that there is a problem, she gave me 3 local service companies who will come to my home to check it out. I will call all 3 in the morning and will update you guys on the progress.
Luckily, I still fall under the manuf. warranty of 1 year... so we'll see.
Wish me luck, Jeanie
The some problem after 10 months of normal operation.
