Is it a BAT 4045? It appears this is a watch with poor or no instructions and ineffective time/date settings, which might be your situation. I found this review on Amazon which might help you.

I've seen a few reviews indicating that they could not set the clock or the instructions were not included. While I did get correct instructions, they were not written well and seemed to be the end result of someone translating into English.
I had issues setting the time/date w/ the S2 button initially because of the specific location where you are required to press. It is not sufficient to push the S2 button to begin setting the clock, you really need a pen tip to press it squarely or you will continue to press the button and no time setting options will appear. I originally tried to set the clock by pushing the S2 button with a small thin pair of scissors that were handy but it did nothing even though I was clearly pushing the button into the watch face. After changing to a pen tip it worked right away.
With the exception of the initial time setting frustrations the watch works well and the strap feels strong enough for regular use for my three year old son, and it is pretty cheap!
Crown(stem) at 10 O'clock has air inlet for temperature, does not move. Crown at 8 O'clock is for setting 3rd time zone next to it. The two buttons on the right of the case, above and below, set 2nd time zone which is at the 6 O'clock position of the large dial. To set #2 push top button till min. hand moves 1 min., then push bottom button to move 1 min each time or hold for rapid movement. Large crown sets date and large dial. Unscrew it (counterclockwise) then pull out to first click, then set date turning crown clockwise, continue to pull out till 3rd click which is where you set the time on the large dial.
the crown of the watch has two clicks, pull it gently once and you can set the date and day, pull it gently again a second time and you can set the time. The proper way to set the time and date is to set first the day,date late at the actual date, then move the hands around the clock until the date change at 12 oclock this is evening, then moving the hands around until you reach the actual time. By doing so you will set the day, date and time in syn to 24 hrs change.
example: you want to change it to sat 12th 11am
set the day and date to fri 11th
then move the hands around clockwise until the day and date change at 12 oclock continue moving the hands until you reach 11am
mcdevito75 here, It takes practice, the crown does have 2 positions, slip a fingernail just under the crown and lift to it"s first position this will allow you to change the DATE (number) once you get the correct Date, push tje crown back in, NOW! pull the crown out to set the DAY itself and the time. On some watches the crowns first position allows both the day and date to be changed by turning the crown in it"s first position clock wise and counter clock wise.
to set the time: switch to timedisplay and hold the "S" key for three seconds, then adjust with the arrow key´s
to set the date: same prcedure as time but first switch to the date display
To use 12- or 24-hour time for your watch, please follow the instructions below.

2. Press the "Date Advance" button on the upper right side. This will reset the seconds.

Just in case you didn't manage to set the time / date on your tocuh screen thermo clock, I'll try to help you from my experience (no available manual at the moment!).
1. To set the time, touch the clock icon on the upper left corner;
2. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the hour area;
3. Touch the hour area until you get what you want (if you prefer the 24 hour display style, touch repeatedly until you get the right hour without the AM / PM indicator next to it);
4. Touch the clock icon again to start the clock;
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to set up the minutes (the hour area will be replaced by the minutes area);
6. To set the date, tocuh the calendar icon on the left hand side;
7. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the year area;
8. Touch the year area until you get what you want;
9. Touch the month area until you get what you want;
10. Touch the day area until you get what you want;
11. The screen will reverse to the time display after 5 seconds if no touch.
12. The TEMP (temperature) area, if touched, is toggling between C and Fahrenheit degrees.
P.S. I don't know if it is possible to set an earlier time / date, except touching. I mean, if 2009 is on the screen and you want 2007, you'll keep touching up to 2030 and then from 1901 up to 2007.
I used to sell Skagen watches,don't know excatly which watch you have . I even went to their web site and couldn't find it. Most Skagens ( unless they are a chronograph with the three curcles on the dial) works like this: Your watch stem has 3 differant settings #1 all the way in #2 half way out , and #3 all the way out . To set the time you pull the stem all the way out and adjust the time. To set the date,pull the stem all the way out and turn untill the date changes ( this will make sure you have it on am-pm correctly) then put the hands at 6 o'clock. Put the stem all the way back in, then pull the stem half-way out. Start with the stem all the way in and slowly pull it out and you will feel the "click" when it is half-way out. MAKE SURE YOU HANDS ARE NOT BETWEEN 9 O'CLOCK AND 3 O'CLOCK, OR YOU WILL BREAK THE AUTOMATC DATE SETTING GEAR!!!!! Then either turn the stem clock-wise , or counter clock-wise , one of the two ways will set your date.
Buttons are: A or Adjust (10 o’clock position), B or Time Memo (2 o’clock), C or Mode (8 o’clock), D or Receive (4 o’clock) and L or Light (6 o’clock) To manually change time, date, year, month and day, hold A until beep and city code appears; press A again until 12H/24Hflashes; press C to cycle through options as hour, minutes, year, month, and day flash; use B or D to change flashing option.
