Can you check if the Write protect swith is on on the SD card. It means as I understand, you have to reset the swith to inactive state.

SOURCE: memory card is in camera(kodak c613) Camera

Make sure the card is fully pushed in; otherwise it could be the reader.
You could try to insert the card into an external card reader connected to a PC.
If it is recognized by windows, click "format".
If that works put the card back into the camera.
If it is now recognized, go to "menu" and format again with the camera.
If the card is not recognized, your internal card reader seems to be faulty.

SOURCE: Screen is saying Memory card is protected (reset switch on memory card) and it won't take pictures.

if you have tried to set the switch to unlocke on your SD card, and still have this problem, you may need to open your camera to check the SD card slot.

SOURCE: It says my memory card is protected

On the side of the memory card, there is a small slider that locks and protects the memory card from being overwritten. Yours may be in the locked position. Simply pull out your memory card form your camera and unlock your memory card by sliding the tab.
Hope this helps,
Andrew

Why is my camera saying memory full when it has no pics or videos stored in it?

the card needs to be formatted either by the camera or by a PC prior to it being used. You may have to do a reset of the camera to get it to behave normally. Keep in mind, that doing this will erase anything saved.

When I turn on my camera I get a msg saying " Memory Card is protected (Reset switch on memory card)" Ummm what!!! I can't get this msg to go away, and now I cant take pictures. At the bottom of the screen...

Most SD cards have a little plastic switch, However if you using a SD adapter it might not be fully reading the adapter witch causes this error or the camera is defective.

So if at one point things where hunky Dory and now its saying this try another memory card and if that does not work then the camera is the issue.

I have a kodak digital easy share cd33 camera, when I put in a 2GB memory card, it says memory card is full? Do I remove anything 1st from the camera? and what part of the camera if so. thanks

1. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "reset"....follow the on-screen instructions. 2. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. 3. Insert card, go into the menu and do the "format" thing again. Be sure to download any pics from the card first.

Memory Card Problem

There is a lever on the side of the memory card. Pls. switch the position of that.

Your cameras Memory card support : SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

Once the card is readable it is a good idea to format the card.

Good luck.

Camera says Card Locked and I can't Reformat the Memory Card

From the problem described by you, it seem your camera has gone into a internal memory error and hung. Try to take out the battery, the memory card etc , clean and then reinsert and then power on? Try this it might work.... Generally the camera should start working normally once you will take out the battery, since it will reset.
If it still does not work, then think you might need to take it to Canon. They are very helpful and could sort out if you have system software problem. But Before that, I suggest that you must take out its memory stick, the battery etc and keep the camera like that for about 15 minutes. Then only reinsert the battery (fully Charged) and then try to reformat the memory card. If you are lucky, you might not need to go to Canon. Best of Luck.

Just sorted similar problem on my camera. For some reason, the memory card option had reset itself to Internal only. It needs to be on Auto to take the external card into account. Press on Menu button, scroll down to Memory and select Auto. Hope it works for you too.

Memory Card won't work

Always format the memory card on the camera, using the menu or shortcut key combination, not on the computer. Formatting from Windows is not the same thing.
Have you done a format from the camera itself?
Is the memory card write-protected accidentally?

Camera says "memory card full" and there is nothing on the card.

go into the camera's system menu and look for "format card" doing this will enable the camera to utilize the memory card. let me know if this helps, if not there are other things we can try.
