I want to transfer the information from palm desktop on a PC to Mac OSX. The palm tungsten e2 is water damaged and not working.

Inside the PalmOne forlder in Program Files, find a folder that is named the same as you Hotsync ID. A flash drive would be the best idea to transfer the files over to the Mac. Some flash drives don't work on Macs, so try a few.

Won't load documents to go therefore I can't transfer documents

Older palm products and vista aren't compatible. You either needs to transfer info via bluetooth or upgrade your palm if you wish to continue using vista.

Newly purchased palm tungsten E- turns on by iself and tries to connect to wi-fi, won't let you cancel, and then dies and needs rebooting several times. I have deleted previous programs that were on last...

The Tungsten E does not have Wi-fi. It doesn't even have Bluetooth (the E2 has Bluetooth). You've clearly got something on there that belongs to a different model.

There is a program called "Filez" that will let you take a look at each individual program on the device. The ones that are on ROM are marked by a chip. If you find one that is both in ROM and RAM, the one in RAM may be the problem.

Look on http://www.palmgear.com for Filez.

Fatal Alert

Though Docs to Go is supported by Palmone, it is still a 3rd party software and will jam your unit like you wouldn't believe. I reloaded mine 15 times before I gave up and quit using it. The Fatal error is an all out jam. The Docs can even duplicate themselves and yes you end up dumping the program from your e2 and reloading before it will work again. The e2 is good and I made mine do internet wirelessly but could never whip Docs.
