The back light LED array is faulty. May be it would be difficult to get the LED Array Because its comes withe the LED panel. Try to consult Polaroid service center.

I had similar problem with my Polaroid 42 inch. The screen would be fine for 10 minutes or so then go black. I found a work around that solved my problem and maybe you can to. What I did was remove the back panel of the TV. Make sure it is unplugged first. You should be able to see the electical board. Somewhere on the board may be a switch that says "Burn" or something with "Burn" in it. I set the switch to the "Burn" setting and the TV has worked fine ever since. Good Luck.
The tv have a long board that call the LCD inverter board it is dead. This long LCD inverter board only job are to provided a backlight for the tv LCD screen panel to produce a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish long LCD inverter board for the replacement.
my POlaroid 37" did same thing blue light stayed on no pic or sound was 2 electrolytic caps on power supply board took back off and they were noticably bulged at top radio shack sells these caps at $3 apiece fixed mine works like new saw a video on here how to do it
Hello: 37 inchs have a television of the problem is that it works
like 10 minutes and turns off the image, has sound but no image, turn
off and on again returns to normal work and 5 minutes the picture goes
but still sound, can you help?
possibly external power supply faulty under load it may fail these power supplies ofen have capacitor failure open the power supply to check for leaking/bulging/swollen capacitor is around 2000uf rated at 12v
had the same problem. if you take out the power supply in the back of your tv ( easy to get to just a few screws in back to get to the box then a few more to get into it and some quick disconnects) you can take it to a local tv repair shop and they can remove the two green capacitors in the upper left of the circuite panel and place in 16v ones that can actually handle the power needed. do not try to do it yourself although the new capacitors only cost 2 dollars one wrong move and you burn the wires on the board. the repair man only charged me 54 dollars well worth it considering polaroid wanted to charge me 500 to fix a 2 dollar part that should have been recalled. they are in the busines to make money but if any of us did what they did wede be considerd con artist. final note since ive replaced the capacitors my tvs worked better than when i bought it
