The oven door will not closed. effortless oven rack is on the inside
Good Afternoon Nancy,
I understand that you are unable to close your Frigidaire range door, model# FPGF3081KF. I would check to make sure that there is nothing blocking the door from closing. Make sure that the racks are in fully, and that the hinges on the door are not hindering the door from closing. If everything is fine there, make sure that the door locking mechanism is not engaged. If the locking mechanism is engaged, what you will want to do is press and hold down the oven lockout button for 5-10 seconds, while the door is still open. Give it about 15-30 seconds and the lock should retract. If none of these suggestions help, I would contact either the manufacturer or a local authorized technician for further assistance.
-Best Regards-

OPEN THE DOOR COMPLETELY. IF IT GOES BEYOND HORIZONTAL, THE HINGES ARE BENT FROM EXCESS DOWNWARD FORCE. THEY WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED.
CHECK THE DOOR HINGE SPRINGS TO MAKE SURE ONE OF THEM ISN'T BROKEN. IF YOU FIND ONE BROKEN, REPLACE IT.

I fixed the automatic oven door lock on my oven. While the door was open, I pushed the button on the upper left hand side a couple of times (the one that senses when the door is closed.) Then I was going to call the repairman when the door closed! I had to run the self clean cycle again to get the lock light to go off, but it worked!

THEY NEVER SIT REAL TIGHT,BUT SOME CAN.TAKE A TEMPERATURE (SAY 250)AND SEE IF IT HOLDS.THE IDEA IS TO SEE IF YOUR LOSING HEAT OR JUST BAKE SOMETHING TO SEE IF IT IS UNDERCOOKED.YOU CAN CHANGE THE HINGE IF YOU WANT TO BUT I DONT THINK IT IS NEEDED.

Check the gap on the side of the door. Most likely the top will be wider than the bottom. There is a bulliten for several models. Call a service/parts dealer. Give them your model and serial number they can check the bulliten and order the correct hinge kit. The hinges and receivers will need to be replaced. Both must be replaced to correct problem. Not a difficult repair. If no one will hepl you, respond back and I can check the bulliten and get you a part number. And can order and ship you a part if necessary.
Good Morning Richard, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire oven door is stuck closed and you are unable to shut the door. You can disconnect power from your range for at least ten minutes and that will reset your oven. This may trick your door latch into opening.
You can also hold down the cancel or clear button for 10 to 15 seconds that may allow your door latch to release. Also attempt to hold down the light and cancel buttons. I hope this information has been helpful to some degree. -Matt
Hey Abraham Acevedo, thank you for the post!
From my understanding the door on your Frigidaire microwave, PLMV168, is not staying closed. You could be seeing an issue with either your door latch or latch assembly within the microwave. Since these components require patience and precision to replace or remove from your appliance, I always suggest seeking professional assistance. One must be very careful handling these replacement parts as they can lead to potential harm. -Matt
Hello Scott Noble - If I was in your position, I personally will recommend consulting a certified technician first for an accurate diagnosis. Depending on what part(s) is damaged from the door, the microwave could possibly have faulty switches, door switches, or latch which only a professional can repair.
