Pagemaker dictionaries missing

Error code 115 in Adobe PageMaker refers to a problem with the program's preferences file. This error can occur when the preferences file becomes corrupt or is otherwise unable to be read by the program. There are a few solutions you can try to resolve this issue:

1. Reset PageMaker's preferences: Go to Edit > Preferences > General, and then click the "Reset Preferences on next launch" button. Close PageMaker, and then reopen it to reset the preferences.

That program is no longer supported. It was obsolete when VISTA came out. However, if it used to work and does not anymore, use the installation disk to reinstall and select custom install and then select just the dictionary.

Solution for adobe pagemaker 7 0 spell checking problem

go to paragraph setting change the dictionary to US english

In write message option hold on the hash(#) button to activate the T9 dictionary; or simply go to options menu select T9 dictionary and activate it.

This works for me.
It only works on documents that you have created by launching Pagemaker 7 (windows 7, 64 bit) as administrator (Right click on icon and choose "run as administrator". Spellcheck works for me on all such documents but not on previous documents not launched as administrator.

Right click on PageMaker and run as Adminstrator. All of the functionality of PageMaker returns.

Pagemaker 7 will not readily allow Spell checking under Windows 7. To do this you will need to run the Pagemaker application as the Administrator. This can either be by clicking on the right hand mouse botton (right handed persons) while the cursor is on the Pagemaker launch icon either on the desktop, Windows Start up menu or Application Program launch menu and then choosing to run the Application as Administrator. Pagemake launched like this will normally allow spell checking, without  the Pagemaker application will return distionary missing or does not support spelling.
Disabling account control in Windows 7 before running the Pagemaker, which I do not recommend also achieves this in Windows 7. All the above applies for Windows Vista too!

For those running Windows Vista, you can enable spell checking in Pagemaker 7 by simply turning off the user account control. This control is what pops up every time you attempt to run a program windows Vista isn't familiar with, asking if you really want to run it.

To turn it off, go to Control Panal, select user accounts and forms, select User Account Control, and in the follow up screen delete the checkmark.

Of course, the account control is there to protect you against unauthorized running of spyware and such. Be sure you have good virus protection!

Do you mean the left margin is too large so all the content is shifted to the right and off the page? If this is the case, it is probably a setting in Pagemaker. In the file menu, choose "page setup" or "print setup". Check the paper size. Check the margins.
