This model Toshiba laptop indicates you have Windows 7 installed as your operation system
Please look at the bottom right of your taskbar, there should be a little white speaker facing right, or put your mouse pointer over it and it will tell your what is is.
By left clicking on that icon a popup will show up with a slider bar for volume control up or down as well as a little speaker icon to click and mute the volume.
If you cannot find the icon to perform this task, right click on any open area of your bottm taskbar and then click on properties to go to the properties of the taskbar. Click on the "blue" box to go to a list on icons and options to be displayed on your taskbar. Select the features you would like and then click OK. You then can perform the adjustments as directed above.
