How do you enter and store numbers

Hello, June -

I hope I am correct in understanding you are asking how to enter and store numbers for speed dialing on your landline phone. Your question is in the Fixya.com category for landline phones.

If you do not have the owner's manual to check for the speed dial entry instructions for your phone then, you will need to find the manual so you will have the instructions.

You have not indicated the make and model of your phone, so I or someone else cannot find it online and provide you with a link to download and save it.

The website ManualsOnline MAY have a PDF version of the owner's / user's manual for your phone:

Best wishes.

My landline is hook up to ciso an thats hook up to netgear how do i make calls out

If it's a cable modem you should have your phone landline connected to the cable model, if you have a "bundle". TV, Broadband, Phone with your provider. For example: I have Comcast/Xfinity bundle, TV, Phone, High Speed Internet. At the Comcast Modem it has a Phone jack RJ-11 for landline and Fax and a RJ-45 for my Wireless Access Point and Ethernet cable.

How to install it

You have to attach router to pc/laptop with usb cable [orange lead] & then follow instructions on screen....you will need to set up password etc but its pretty straight forward. If you do have problems phone their helpline & they guide you through it, but use landline as calls are not often free, rather than ur moby :)

Son hooked up computer to his ps3. Now wi fi will not work. How can I remedy this. States that is hooked up but isnt to wi fi. Works on landline. thanks Ed

If it works on the landline/wired connection then it's just the wifi you have to fix.
If I understand correctly, and the wifi doesn't work at ALL, then it should be a quick fix!
Right click "My Computer"
Click "Properties"
Click "Device Manager"
Here you should be able to see your hardware, also including "Network Devices"
click the + to dropdown this menu. Here you can see the status of your wireless adapter here. If it's Yellow, then you'll have to reinstall the driver.
If it's red, then simply right click and re-enable it.
Hope this helps! Best of luck :)

How do I hook up an HP v40 to my PC and a cable modem so that my FAX works?

You probably need to hook up to a landline telephone line, too. Or, you can use an "e-fax" service that lets you send faxes via internet. Basically, they would send your fax as middleman to the recipient. Windows Vista except Business version) does not have inherent fax support like Windows XP and Windows 7 Professional. And programs such as WinFax did not upgrade to Vista and 7. But, your fax modem should have come with some faxing software.

You put in modem card and then run telephone line to back. You can usually run a line to a telephone from the 2nd connection on the back with the telephone symbol below it.

Hope this helps you a litle.

Model 21518 GE Bluetooth Telephone Adaptor

I see the same thing and it appears that this is the way it works. Without the landline you will get the beeps but can still make and recv calls. After the beeps, dial #1#phone-number#, and it will call that number. Guess that is what they mean when say works without landline.
