Dropped my AS4880 / 6px definder and now won't work

if its an old 2/4 or 8 foot tube light , these used the shade as part of the housing this is where the ballast /starter is located and other wiring is there too , to remove these old type , remove bulbs by gently twisting 1/4 turn and allowing tube ends to drop free(hold on to bulb !!) remove all bulbs this way , then locate the end where you'll see a nut , there's only one on one end , sometimes on fancy decorator lights they make the nut seem as part of the ornation of shade, but a carefull look and you will see the seams that make it removable , unscrew this and shade end will drop away , the trailing end will unhook when shade is aprox 33 degrees angle away from light these old fixtures can be quite heavy so be prepared for weight ! make sure you disconnect any power to light before working on anything inside of it ,including tube ends ,as I find these are whats bad most times (cracks)

change high beam bulb

ballast is most likely bad

check for loose wires at the plug, end for corrosion on the plug terminals

try checkin the ground wire .......

freezer light does't work, I put in new bulbs and it doesn't stay cold.

Please follow the instructions below carefully to change the bulbs in the licence plate of your cad deville;
1.All you have to do is put a flat blade screw driver on the right side of the bulb housing and gently push to the left. This will release the catch holding it in and it will drop out and down on the end of its wiring connector.

2.1/4 turn the bulb and remove. Replace the bulb and just put the housing back into the opening left side first, then just push up on the right side till you hear a click. Takes about 1 min per light. Works for all Deville types from 99-08

On page 4, it says:

"Installing/Replacing Filters and Light Bulbs
■ Grease filter: Grease filter is on the underside of microwave
oven. Clean monthly. Slide the filter away from the tab area,
and drop out the filter. To reinstall, place end of the filter into
the opening opposite the tab area, swing up the other end,
and slide it toward the tab area.
■ Charcoal filter: The charcoal filter is behind the vent grille at the
top front of the microwave oven. The charcoal filter cannot be
cleaned, and should be replaced about every 6 months.
Remove 2 screws on the vent grille, tilt the grille forward, lift it
out, and remove filter. To reinstall, place the filter into its slotted
area – wire mesh side up, replace vent grille, and secure with
screws.
■ Cooktop light(s): The cooktop light bulb(s) is(are) located on
the underside of the microwave oven, and is(are) replaceable.
Remove bulb cover screw, and open the bulb cover. Replace
bulb, close bulb cover, and secure with screw.
■ Cavity light: The cavity light bulb is located behind the vent
grille at the top front of the microwave oven, under the bulb
cover, and is replaceable. Remove 2 screws on the vent grille,
tilt the grille forward, and lift it out. Open bulb cover and
replace bulb. Close bulb cover, replace vent grille, and secure
with screws."

HINT: Unplug the oven before removing or installing the bulbs, or you may need this service.

To change the bulbs all you have to do is put a flat blade screw driver on the right side of the bulb housing and gently push to the left (towards the driver's side). This will release the catch holding it in and it will drop out and down on the end of its wiring connector. Twist the bulb counter clockwise to release it. Replace the bulb and just put the housing back into the opening left side first, then just push up on the right side till you hear a click.

Open refrig door, look at control panel, on each end of control panel there should be philip screws holding panel, remove screws, drop panel down slowly, replace light. Install in reverse order.
