Casio te 2200

I have a casio TE 2200 which I bought used and have reprogrammed for my store in Canada. Everything works fine --- except when I turn the key to Z1 and hit the CA/AMT button, it just beeps at me. The X1 function works fine, but I need to reset totals every day and without the Z1 report and clearing of daily totals, I can not use the system. Can anyone help?

I assume in reprogramming the tax tables and various descriptors, I must have done something to not allow me to do the Z1 report.

Hi Good Day!
Before you reprogrammed it, check everything first,
if there is a reset setting, try to use it before you reprogramming it.

SOURCE: Reports from Casio TE-2200

Hi.
Unless someone has written some new software for it, then no. It cannot do it. That is not what the CF card is used for (it is used for program backups and in some cases, streaming the electronic journal). Cash registers generally do not have direct report software interfacing like you are suggesting. I have looked into it with a few brands and none can do it seamlessly. What you are asking is usually always incorporated in software POS machines, as it is a serious function which requires a data base that is compatible with the reporting software.
So, if you want it to work 100 percent with not much mucking around, then invest in a PC POS machine, not a cash register. You can get raised keyboards for them, so that's not a worry. The drawback is price, as they are the most powerful type of checkout system. You will need to spend a few thousand on one. As I said, the cash registers are catching up, so one may be able to do it properly now. In NZ where I am, we have one of the first online reporting systems available where your register uploads data to the net, and you can log in anywhere and see all the reports generated online:

http://www.summa.co.nz/indexnz.html

This is the way Casio and Samsung are going in NZ rather than linking to software, and it is becoming very popular. You might want to see if it is available where you are.
Keep trying the different suppliers to see if any brands of register can do it, and get a demonstration before you buy.

Hope this helps

Mark

I can't add a name to a department key on a Casio TE-2200 cash registetr

Make sure you are using the text layout in the manual if the text is not inputting correctly. Also, don't forget to use the double zero button when changing between text input and placement to the keyboard.

Hi casio cash register, TE-2200 wont let me sign in. Tried the method of pressing the receipt key and turning the key to progrram and pressing sub total. It gives me reciet and again it does not let me...

That is not how you sign in.
Turn the key to REG mode.Type your sign in number. If no PIN numbers have been changed, the sign in is 1.Press the CLK# button.

Casio TE 2200 0 instead of 0.00 I just bought the new te 2200 but i can not programing. is that the problem with mac code ?

Yes. This machine has not had a RAM clear and system settings performed. Take it back to the dealer and ask them to perform the dealer programming on it, then you can program the user data for products etc yourself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If anyone needs a Casio TE-2200 manual, go here: http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_TE-2200_users_manual.html

Creating new items in casio te 2200

Hi.
If you are selling different products, you will need to re-program your PLUs. If you are selling the same products, then you can transfer your PLUs via the CF card to the new machine. I have never seen any way to edit products with Excel. The data is not stored in a database format.
If you buy your products from a large supplier, they will sometimes have PLU dumps available for some models of register. Phone around and find out.
