Emachine T3624 will not power up

You will be rpesented for all your drivers, download and install the ethernet drivers

try to press and hold Fn and F8 - this is to toggle screen setting to ext and back to LCD on laptop. if nothing happens turn off computer by pressing power button, unplug the ac adapter, remove the battery. remvoe residual electricity from computer by pressing power button 10 times. just plug again the ac and leave the battery out. Pres and hold the letter D and while holding that press the power button once and release both of them. it will perform the built in self test on the lcd. if nothing happens, turn off computer. press anf hold Fn and while holding it press power button. it will perform diagnosis on computer. if still nothing happens need to repalce motherboard and LCD.

If you can not see a "+" and "-" sigh on the connector as well as on the motherboard, then try it both ways. If you get it wrong the first time, it will not harm anything, just plug it in the other way if it does not work. Good luck!

Does the power on LED light up, if not check the power lead, make sure it is connected properly. If you still don't get a power when you try to boot up and the power LED isn't on then you most likely have a faulty switch mode power supply.

sounds like the power supply may have gone. try replacing it. or using a old PSU lying about

I can guarantee 100% you have a bad motherboard. I have seen this exact problem with hundreds of E-machine PC's (especially your particular model).

What happend is the power supply went bad and took the motherboard with it, e-machines use very cheap OEM powersupplys that do not have any fault protection to protect the motherboard from damage if the power supply gets a surge or other damage.

You should not waste your money repairing the hardware in this PC, i would buy a new PC and transfer the data over.

Shut the computer off at the beginning of the bootup process look for the function key or keyboard button to get into the bios setup. Press that button and look in the settings to disable the onboard network adaptor.
