E series vacuums have a safety switch underneath the motor unit to insure the water basin is on. You can see the part here and where it is located (left of the separator)
Rainbow interlock plunger

Sometimes this part may have fallen out and gotten lost when you were putting your vacuum away, or your water basin where it would depress this switch broke of.

If your motor is good and power nozzle is good, it may be this.

Vacuum won't turn on

Be sure to that the latches are connected to the water pan. The eSERIES and up will not turn on without the water pan latched. If that is not the issue, please call us and speak to a Rainbow Specialist.

I was sweeping my floor I turned it off, then when I went to turn it back on it wouldnt turn on? HELP

Check the power button switch, it is often cause vacuum to shut off. Thus cutting current flow into the vacuum circuit. Also check the cord for intermittent connection. The cord is subjected to bent, twist and other abuse action while vacuum is in use.
Good luck.

Water solution does not come out--is something plugged

It could also be due to the brush assembly channels being clogged. Remove the brush assembly and clean channels by running under warm tap water.
To clean the brush assembly/nozzle, turn cleaner off and disconnect from electrical outlet. Slide the two nozzle release latches outward. Remove the nozzle by pulling straight out. Rinse nozzle under running water. Remove debris from squeegee and wipe with a damp cloth. Using finger grips on the brush assembly, pull straight out. The brush assembly can be washed with a mild detergent and rinsed. Do not use pine or solvent-based detergents.
To replace nozzle, make sure latches are out. Align middle section of nozzle with opening on cleaner. While holding nozzle in place, slide latches inward to lock in place.

Make sure your solution tank is full and securely locked in position.

Lastly, if this fails, you can contact the Hoover Service Center by calling 1-800-944-9200 for an automated referral of authorized service outlet locations (U.S. only).

Replace belt

Take the head off the vacuum, look at back. You will see two metal latches, the latches hold the bottom of the head on. If the latches are stiff, you can use a small hammer to tap the in the right direction, don't go crazy. The bottom will swing away towards the front. The beater bar can then be pulled out and a new belt slipped on. Replace the beater bar, be sure to get the black ring at one end installed so it is line with the little light that tells you the bar is turning. Replace the metal bottom, if you have trouble getting it to seat check that you have the front side seated properly over the 'bumps' on the front of the head. Lock the clips back in. Turn the finger to catch & pick up the belt so you may place it back on the vacuum.

How do i change the brush and belt

Starting withh the brushroll, slip belt over brushroll. The brushroll will only go on one way.The caps on the ends of the brushroll are different sizes so it will only go on one way.Make sure the adjustment screws face outward toward the floor.Install the brush roll into the bracket.Install the bracket onto brushead, making sure the tabs on the bracket fit onto the tabs in the brushead.Turn brushead around, and latch the two latches on either side. Then turn the belt lifter to pick up the belt, looking thru the back opening.Raise the Kirby to it's highest setting.Re-install the brushead, and lock it down tight, but not too tight. Then, turn the belt lifter knob all the way clockwise to drop the belt onto shaft.

Wont Turn On

Sounds like a bad power switch or a broken wire in the line cord.
