The F2E1 error code on a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer indicates a problem with the user interface control board. Even though the buttons on the keypad appear to work, there may be an issue with the board that is preventing the dryer from starting.
One potential solution is to try resetting the dryer by unplugging it from the power source for at least one minute, then plugging it back in and attempting to start it again. If this does not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to replace the user interface control board.
It is recommended to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer for assistance with replacing the control board, as working with electrical components can be dangerous if not done properly.
Is the dryer vent blocked with lint? If there is a restriction in air flow in the vent system, the dryer will stop. Make sure the vent path is completely clean even in the wall where the vent hose connects.
We are sorry to hear of the problem with your Whirlpool Dryer. We would recommend having a local certified technician in your area properly diagnose and repair the issue you are experiencing. Hello, yes it is possible that the thermal fuse has gone again. Before attempting any repair yourself please unplug the dryer. The thermal fuse is located in the rear of the dryer the service panel would have to be removed. it is on the hot air duct has 2 wires going to it white in colour about 1 1\2 ' s long and 1\4 " wide. Also locate wear the vent is outside and make sure you have good air flow. good luck
ctwoods, this sounds like the heating element has shorted to the heater can. What that is doing is leaving the element at 1/2 power on all the time. If this happened, then the heat kept going up until it blew the thermal fuse which caused the motor not to run. So check the heater and any fuses in the dryer.
