Netflix login cant watch any films keeps telling me to download silevlight which I have done. also I have uninstalled it then reloaded it about 6 timesstill don't work

Just need to install the Netflix app on your new iPad, login with your credentials and you are ready to go.

Depending upon your Netflix account, it will allow you to use 2 or 4 devices simultaneously. So you can either uninstall the Netflix app from your older iPad or keep it and use it.

If you have a netflix account, you can use the netflix app. Or if you are an xfinity user, you can download the xfinity tv app, sign in with your details and youre good. Now if you want to watch movies added on your phone, you can download the VLC app. But if the movie format is not supported like the mkv format, you might need to convert them.

do you have high speed internet connection? sounds like your internet not keeping up. on youtube is buffering

I have a similar challenge. Netflix works fine on my iPad mini and Samsung smart TV. The trouble is on the Apple TV .
I think I restarted the Apple TV to set this right.
Try going to settings -general -reset on the iPad 2 and see if there is a possibility there.

Well this is down to your internet speed being too slow. You can check the minimum speed requirements in their help center. If you are not sure of your connection speed, Google for broadband speed checker and do it in the evening.
Some films are in HD only and others in SD. If your connection speed is less than 5Mbps and fluctuates, only watch SD films.
