The KX-T7731 is just the phone. The auto attendant is controlled by the PBX. To change the message, please consult the manual for the PBX. If you don't have that manual, please reply to this post and specify the model of your PBX.

SOURCE: Changing date on Panasonic KX-T7731

If it is displaying "101:" that is your extension. You can press the * key (with phone on the hook) to scroll your display through date and time formats and to display your extension.

When it says "PITS-PGM NO" you will need to press one of the buttons on the numerical key pad to choose a function to change.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Simplify the changing of the timeon the Panasonic

There are a few types of phone sytems that work with the kxt 7731. these instructions should handle most of them.
Changing the time on a Panasonic KX-TA624 system must be done from extension # 101 using a display phone. All others can use any display set. 1.- Press the "PROGRAM" button on the face of the phone
2.- Enter programming2.gif mode by pressing "STAR" - "POUND" - "1234" (default password = 1234)
3.- Enter program # 000 4.- Press "SPEAKER" button 5.- Press "FORWARD/DND" button to change to the hour selection 6.- Press "TRANSFER" button and enter the hour 7.- Press "FORWARD/DND" button to change to the minutes parameter 8.- Press "TRANSFER" button and enter the minutes 9.- Press "FORWARD/DND" button to change to the AM/PM parameter 10 Press "MUTE" button to select AM or PM 11.- Press "STORE" button (listen for 1 tone if procedure was executed correctly / 3 tones if procedure failed) 12.- Press "HOLD" button 13.- Press the "PROGRAM" button on the face of the phone

SOURCE: Transfer calls to voice mail

It depends on what system the 7731 is attached to. If it's a TA system, that you dial either 107 or 115 to get to the Panasonic brand voice mail system, you take a spare button from the left side keys and press PROGRAM the spare button and dial 94+107 or 115 then STORE.

Pick up the handset and drop it back down to end programming. Then label the button VTR. When a call comes in, you press VTR and dial the extension or press the DSS (extension) button. You don't press HOLD or TRANSFER, just the VTR button.

It's all on page 158 of the OM http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/200_TA_OM_07-04%5B1%5D.pdf

If you are not using a TA series system, the instructions may be different.

Hi, I have a Panasonic KX-T7731 and I don't quite understand the vocabulary of the manual. So here is what I am looking for I would like when an oncoming call comes in that the caller can select from...

Manual to what? A 7731 is a Panasonic phone that connects to a Key Service Unit. If your KSU happens to be a TA-824 delivered in the U.S., it has a DISA card built in and the instructions are probably in the OM. There, you record a set of instructions that let the system answer and route the caller by digits dialed. If you're using a different KSU, then you may have the Auto Attendant on a Panasonic Voice Mail system do the messages and routing. That set of instructions will be in the Voice Mail installation guide.
