You will have to purchase a digital to analog TV recption converter. Here in Canada, they are about $100.00 dollars. I doubt if you want to pay that much, I wouldn't.
I understood that you have a radio with TV sound reception. Yes, you will have to buy a new radio if you want to listen to the TV channels. The radio FM should still work normally. I do not think that you will find a radio with the new TV tuner to receive digital TV audio.I understood that you have a radio with TV sound reception. That depends on how your TV is set up for radio reception.
Some TVs have a dedicated FM/AM radio tuner. This requires signals from both forms of radio antenna.
More commonly now though, digital TV includes a wide range of radio stations broadcast as part of the TV range. In the UK, the radio stations are grouped in the 700+ channel range. e.g. 701 is BBC Radio 1.
Since June of last year all television broadcasting switched over to digital signals. Without a converter your radio will not receive any of the stations sound channels. Impossible to modify, only a converter will bring the stations in.
You can purchase a converter box that will allow you to pick up the digital broadcasts.
This should only apply to you if you were getting your tv shows over the air with an outside antenna.
If you do need the converter box, you have until July 31 09 to apply for a $40.00 coupon that you can use to help offset the cost of the new converter box.
You can apply for the coupon at this website https://www.dtv2009.gov/ which also has a lot more information related to the digital conversion.
yes that is correct it in most cases the small portable tvs only recieved analog signal now that the signals are all digital you have no way of watching tv on your walkman anymore
There's nothing you can do. With the switch to digital broadcasting, the sound isn't on the same frequencies it used to be so this radio can't pick it up. Right now, nobody's offering a digital receiver for the sound. All your radio is good for now is the regular radio and weather broadcasts.
The radio won't get TV sound anymore after the switch. And no, nobody is selling a digital receiver for the TV sound yet. All this radio is good for now is regular broadcasting and the weather band.
