CODE F9-88 WONT LET ME PRINT OR MAKE COPIES

if you can not scan a copy from doc feed or glass may have a bad hard drive. will pull a error code C0640

Reinstall the printer to you computer .

Alignment shows black & streaky, only covers 3/4's of a line, color is good. The printer copies a document no problem; but only copies color (no black) from the computer. If the document is black print, I get a blank page. Do not know how to remove printhead

What is the error code or what is being displayed on the control pannel > It will give a starting point as to what is going on with the copier.

Usually the number of copies of a certain print job is handled by the software.

Example: You have written a one page letter using WordPad. You would like the C4680 to print 2 copies of this letter:

1) On the menu, click "File"

2) Choose "Print..."

3) On the page that follows, change the number of copies to 2. There are other options you may choose at this time, if desired.

4) Click Print

The unit should start printing 2 copies of your letter.

Usually a flase code on these models. Try clearing by pressing "C" then far left key (Exposure Mode) then "C" then far left again. Must be pressed quickly and if done correctly display will go blank. Then key in 14 as if making 14 copies. Then press Print.
Short Version: C, far left, C, far left, 14, print
If code returns then you have a fusing unit problem but 9 times out of 10 this is just a false code.

In almost any windows application there is a command in the FILE dropdown menu that is labeled "Print..." It's usually right above "Print Preview". To print multiple copies click "File" then click "Print..." and you will get the following Window Just select the number of copies you want by clicking the up/down arrows where it says "Number of copies"

Try unticking the collate box on the print window. this can cause 50 jobs to be sent rather than 50 copies of the same job.
