Paint skin not showing up on Flight Deck 5 planes

Some objects on Flight Deck 5's planes (when chosen in FSX free flight) have correctly painted skins,(rocket pods, cockpit, wheels, but the body of the planes are missing skin paint details and texture. (just shaded white) The skin is fine on the helicopters, but not the planes. (I'm running the programs on a Vista 64 bit home premium OS with high end graphis on quad-core system)

Check that you are running FSX and add-ons in administrator mode. This sounds like a user rights issue.

fsx takes time to load i noticed the plane lights were black squares for a bit until it loaded also your graphics may not be set very high.

Each time you are installing FSX installation is leaving behind files. Get a good quality registry cleaning program. Uninstall FSX, reboot, use the reg cleaner, then reboot, then re-install and you will be okay

You need to assign the throttle function correctly WITHIN FSX settings area itself. Also calibrate the joystick in windows first. If you are not familiar with assigning FSX functions to your joystick, check the Learning Center section within FSX for step-by-step details.

Have you searched the registry using CTRL + F and typing in FSX or Microsoft? This should find all entries. If not, then FSX is not installed properly and you need to uninstall FSX, reboot and re-install. Good luck with it.

FSX Icon does not show on the desk top
Go to the FSX directory, find FSX.exe, right-click it with the mouse, and whilst holding the right button down, drag to your desktop and release the button. Choose "create shortcut here" from the fly-out menu. This will sort it. Good luck

Abacus flight deck 5 issue with FSX Acceleration
If you are using WIn 7 or Vista, you must set the exe file for the program to "run as administrator". This is done by locating the exe file for the program, right click it, choose properties, and then select "always run as adminsitrator". Good luck
