HP DESKJET D1360 HOW TO SET UP WIRELESSLY USING MAC

Are you trying to use MAC filtering. You would just need the MAC from the network setup screen and add it to your router/firewall.

If you are using a Mac (Apple) computer you would, providing you have a wireless adapter connected to Mac, just go into "System Preferences" and use the wizard under "Print & Scan". Make sure the networking on the printer is in on the same as your Mac.

NOOK is not capable of responding to the Linksys router

The tech was correct about that matter. However you can configure the MAC to always allow the device.
  1. Find your MAC for NOOK. I think you have already did.
  2. Go to Setting and then to the Second Page to find it.
  • Configuring MAC
  • Wireless MAC Filter. To filter wireless users by MAC Address, either permitting or blocking access, click Enable.
  • If you do not wish to filter users by MAC Address, select Disable.
  • Prevent. Clicking this button will block wireless access by MAC Address.
  • Permit Only. Clicking this button will allow wireless access by MAC Address.
  • Edit MAC Address Filter List. Clicking this button will open the MAC Address Filter List. On this screen, you can list users, by MAC Address, to whom you wish to provide or block access. For easy reference, click the Wireless
  • Client MAC List button to display a list of network users by MAC Address.
  • Change these settings as described here and click the Save Settings button to apply your changes or Cancel Changes to cancel your changes.

Will not print

The Simple Network Configuration capabilities of Mac OS® X can only find devices in the local network segment. If your Macintosh® and devices are not in the same network segment or are connected via a router, you cannot use the Simple Network Configuration capabilities of Mac OS® X.

In these cases, I recommend you use IP printing.

I have a Belkin router. All of our PC's are working including my netbook. The only computer not working is my husbands MAC. Any solutions?

Check that the wireless adapter is correctly installed -- correct device-drivers loaded.

Check that the wireless adapter is not "disabled" (a slider switch?)

Try the wireless capabilities of the Mac at a "hot-spot" (Starbucks? Public Library?) to see if it can connect to *ANY* wireless network.

Run the Apple Software Updater, to ensure that OS X is properly updated.

Check that the Mac is connecting to the correct SSID, with the correct password/passphrase.

Airport settings in Mac leopard

Make sure your ADSL router has wireless capability or wireless function. Verify that from your Internet Provider. If your ADSL router doesn't have wireless function, you need to buy a separate wireless router then cascade it to your ADSL router, from there your airport must be working fine.
