2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3. The lifters were replaced but failed in minutes. Now smokes with rocker tick.

the sm shows how to prime HLA
they can not just be put in dry.
HLA = hydraulic lash adjusters , aka lifters but never tappets.
not talking rockers.
Active Fuel Management (AFM)
it shuts down valves this AFM and to 4 cylinders
so defeats rock+HLA. to do that and is complex.

smoking is just oil that fell from valve cover pulled and oil lands on the exhaust manifold, etc.
you did not say smokes in the engine bay or at rear of car.
changing and HLA, does not allow oil to fall past head valves ever.
unless valve seals are gone or cracked in half, but what will be, will be.

the sad story is here, nothing simple about any of this and expensive to fix
see the horrors there of owning complex (VDE,variable displacement engines now and in the past, all FED mandated junk)

  1. The computer sends a signal to the LOMA.
  2. The LOMA solenoids open.
  3. Oil flows to the special lifters through the AFM towers.
  4. This oil collapses the plunger inside the lifter.
  5. The collapsed lifters will not engage the pushrods and both valves remain closed.

What are valve clearance of Suzuki grand vitara 2008 2000cc engine model g20a

WRONG J20A is it.
Our USA car has H27A v6, which country are YOU?<
country first sold to matters, only or hood sticker or VIN code.
matter.
I guess you lost the service manual and chapter, head /cam
shimming bucket lifters and the tool to so:>?
other countries lost more 4 or more engines; J20 is possible.
the VIN code has engine code there, or the under hood sticker.
G engines ended long ago. so is wrong told by you... sad no. out of the gate wrong engine told.
My guess is twin cam DOHC, and uses bucket lifters.
there are no rockers here or tappets, it's buckets
only question is do the use shims. CAM is over the valve stems.
so only this matters, and the manual covers it.(nor ours no such engine here this year)) the J20 is shimmed, so you need to buy shims to change it.. yes gaped first checked.
J20 have letter at the end, and some are hydraulic lifters..HLA.
if HLA makes noise you are using wrong oil 10w40 is max.
no 20w-xx
here are the HLA see those, so we end , the easter egg hunt now

How do we get rid of the Vero ultra Red mahogany out of hair we have bleached it 4 times its now pink

Stop Putting bleach on it. You are only opening the cuticle and driving the direct dyes further into the cuticle. Use a "stripping" shampoo on barely damp hair and put your client under the dryer for a bit and see if that pulls some of it out. Then you may have to color a little darker than you would like.
