You can unlock your Nokia Lumia 520 with the help of many method but i have only 1 solution. I am sharing you few steps hopefully the steps solved your problem.
Steps:
Firstly power off your Nokia Lumia 520.
Press and hold the Volume Down button for about eight seconds, or until an exclamation point displays on-screen.

• If using a Windows 7 Nokia 520, press and hold the Power button, Camera key, and Volume Down button until the phone begins to vibrate.
• Press the Volume Up key, then press Volume Down, followed by the Power button, then the Volume Down key once again. This keystroke pattern will unlock your device, and reset the security passcode along with factory settings.
  • If using a Windows 7 Nokia 520, release the Power button, while continuing to press and hold the Camera key and Volume Down buttons.
  • Release all buttons when the phone reboots. The welcome screen will display, and your phone will be unlocked and restored to the original factory settings. Thankyou

I have a NOKIA Lumia 635, to reset my phone you have to go to 'SETTINGS' scroll down the list until you see the word ABOUT on the list of device applications, scroll down and you will see the 'RESET PHONE' option. Follow the instructions ( very straightforward ) and your phone will be set to 'FACTORY DEFAULT' settings, I hope this helps.

just backup all your data n reset your phone in factory setting.
or just dial *#7780# and enter you phone code if it ask,
if you dont know your phones code then see its manual. or try 12345 or 0000.

You can do 3 things on Nokia Lumia 520
1) to use Data Sense (an windows app) to control your mobile data usage by limiting it to a certain level like 100MB a month or something.
2) to turn mobile data usage off on your phone, by going to Setting> Mobile Network then choose "off" option for Data Connection.
3) to contact your Mobile Network ISP & request a Data Connection deactivation.

THE PHONE NEEDS RESETTING , I HAVE HAD SAME TROUBLE WITH 520, YOU WILL LOSE ALL SAVED DATA APPS PHONE NUMBERS ETC IF YOU DO THIS ..... GO INTO SETTINGS THEN 'ABOUT' AND RESET THE PHONE
