Need to remove hood on F5915905 to fix upholstery nozzle

Hello! Removing the hood is not recommended on the F5915905 as it is factory sealed and may void your warranty. We recommend taking your cleaner in to a service center for repair. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to your location. Service Center Locator Thanks!

How do you get to the belt on a Hoover steam vac?

I hate to tell you, but there is no belt at all on the steam vac line. they have a suction driven turbine to turn the brushes, and a suction driven pump for the water flow. But definately no belts.

If something is not working on it, describe more in detail what is not working and we can narrow it down better for a proper solution.

I have a Hoover STeam Vac Dual V. Replaced the water tank-no problem. but water still pours out through the bottom. when idle, when off, when running. dont need to press the lever. Help!

Te dual V models have an electric pump and 2 solenoids that control the soap and water to dispense. The problem you describe, sounds like the water solenoid is stuck open. and would need to be serviced by a repair shop.

Hoover Steam Vac V2 Deep Cleaner leaking clean water

Fill the tank and determine if the plastic is leaking, or if the valves are leaking. if the tank is cracked, it would need replaced. There is an improved design now available.

You may cycle the valves on the bottom with the eraser end of a pencil.

Clarification Request By reddevil6, posted on May 01, 2008 What is your problem? Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You may have a bad water pump, bad gasket, the water release valve could be broken, or the water tank is not sitting on the opening properly or the trigger assm is not closing properly. Feel free to check with you local vac dealer or a new or a good used part if you find out what is wrong. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Cleaning steam vac

There are screws on the bottom to remove, then near the back on each side, the is a catch to release. Before you turn it over, there is a screw where the water intake is near the top to remove.

I can not seem to get the attachment for the upholstery cleaner to operate what am i doing wrong????

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The attachment works on the suction from the Hoover Steam Vac and it’s either a straight suction tool or a revolving brush, check the front of the machine to see if the is a switch to turn on and odd, also before you attach the upholstery tool check the end of the hose for suction, it may be that your upholstery tool may be clogged or the brushes are not spinning and a part may be broken. Feel free to check with you local vac dealer or a new or a good used part if you find out what is wrong. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
