SOURCE: 2 line phone rca 25205re1 only 1 line works not the rollover line

Most likely the problem is the cord from the wall to the phone. There are two types of cords and they look almost identical. Look closely at the connector. A single-line cord will have only two gold pin at each end. A two-line cord will have four gold pins at each end.

You need a two-line cord to get both lines from the wall to your phone. Since you have had the problem with several phones, that is the most likely cause.

SOURCE: Have an RCA executive series. the light for the

I have an RCA Executive Line 4-line phone. I was away for a week, and came back to find the speakerphone when I dial out is significantly muffled on some of the lines (people that I am calling complain of noise on the line). If I take it off speaker, the quality on the handpiece is normal. First, I thought it was the batteries, so I replaced them. Didn't change. Is there a reset? Is the phone (base) after less than 1 year defective?

SOURCE: so much static I can not hear properly

The line that stays lit for line 2 is just the way it is.. not a problem. If you only have one phone line and a two line phone you will always have the one (non working line 2 ) lit.
Have you replaced the cord to the handset? Many times it is a bad cord that causes static.

How do i call

Hello Tedelen,

Be sure to meet all the requirements of the phone to make calls and to be fully operational. These requirements can be found here (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).

To make a phone call follow these instructions:

Making calls with the Handset
1. Pick up the handset and the phone automatically selects the priority line. If the priority line is occupied, it selects an open line.
OR
Pick up the handset and press a LINE button to select a line.
2. Wait for a dial tone, then dial a phone number.
3. Hang up the handset when finished.

Making Calls with the Speakerphone
1. Press the SPEAKER button and the phone automatically selects the priority line. If the priority line is occupied, it selects an open line.
OR
Press a LINE button to select a line.
2. Wait for a dial tone then dial a phone number.
3. Press SPEAKER button when finished.

If you are having problems refer to the given link to the User Guide.

I have a Kx-t7420 panasonic phone system. I have three of my phones that go directly to line 2. no idea why. Can I change this? Also there is so much noise on line 2 that I cannot hear. Is this something...

Actually, you have a Panasonic TD phone system and a 7420 phone, but no matter. The feature you have is probably "idle line preference" or "preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing". In TD systems by default, you select lines from highest to lowest. If you only have 2 lines and PLA is set, you get line 2 then line 1. You can change it to get line 1 first, or chage the trunk access order. The first is something you can do from each phone, the second requires access to system programming. The bad thing about the first solution is if line 1 is busy, you won't get any line. The second will give you the entire trunk group.

Anyway, from each phone without picking up the handset, press PROGRAM 99 and dial 1301 STORE. That will give you line 1 when you pick up the handset. Just so you know or can change it, 11 is none, 12 is idle line, 13xx is specific line and 1+the intercom is intercom. Pick up the handset and drop it back down to exit programming.

As far as the noisy line, it's probably a central office issue. It's hard to test as that line is the outer pair of the jack that plugs into the phone sytsem (RJ-14 pair 2), but you can probably take a regular phone and test it at the demarc point.

Picking up and Haning up problems. "Rls" key "Line 1-4" keys

Can you sheck something for me; under your phone where the cables are plugged into, there are 3 types of jacks... 1 jack is to plug the phone into the wall 1 jack is to plug the handset into(picture of phone handset) 1 jack is to plug a headset into(picture of headset)
Check and make sure that the handset is plugged into the handset, and NOT the headset jack... and move the cables if that is the issue. Your problem sounds very familar to your handset being plugged into the wrong jack on the bottom of your phone, and it is more common than you think.

2 0f our 3 handsets beep and say "system is busy !" when used.

1st you can download the PDF instruction manual online for free for most products. I'm sure this is one you can find.
Next: I've had a similar problem with my system an (AT&T Dect 6.0).
If I disconnect each battery and plug them back in it usually works.
The there is always resetting the whole system.
Using the PDF you can see how to un-pair all the phones then re pair them making sure you pair the one that says Handset #1 first and so on, if you want them to stay in the order they are in now.
That's what we do because each one of us are used to having each phone.
One of these two methods should solve your problem.
Also, if neither Idea works - youtube has helpful videos on most anything but I suspect one of these Idea's will work.
I've only had to un-pair them when one got broken and I wanted them back in the order they were in.
Usually unplugging and re plugging each of the batteries works.
I don't know what kicks that off but it happens to me once or twice a year. I use Magic Jack and I also have them routed through another PC (that's not on line) witch has (Phone Tray Free), an app that can block calls and show ID on the big Screen and a few more tricks along with a Web cam surveillance system I have running all the time, so in my case it makes some sense it would get screwed up from time to time.
For me, It usually happens when someone picks up the phone before the caller ID can come up or a call comes in and hangs up before the caller ID can see the info.

Handset has message Out of Range even though it is fully charged on on the handset.

The handsets are reading out of range because they have lost connection with the base. This happens mostly during peak power demands or power outages, but can also happen when the phone is unplugged for any amount of time. This can also cause, at times, the answering machine to stop picking up calls. To remedy this issue, reset the phone system. Please follow the instructions below:
To reset the phone:
1. Disconnect the power adapter, phone line, and remove all batteries from the base and all handsets. Leave it disconnected for 30 seconds to reset the base.
2. Place the batteries in the handsets first and then plug in the power adapter and phone line. Do not place the batteries back in the base yet.
3. Put the handset in the charge cradle.
4. It may take up to 1 minute for the "Out of Range" to clear from the display.
5. Once the "Out of Range" is cleared from the handset place the back up batteries back into the base.

Uniden DECT 6.0 cordless phones

Here are some steps that should help. I don't think that you can Conference call You can hold a 3-way conversation (conference call) between your handset, an external caller and another internal handset user. During an external call: 1 Press . The external caller is put ?on-hold?. 2 Press or to select name, number or the handset you want to have a conference call with and press or key. The called handset will ring. 3 When the called handset answers, press to start your conference call. 4 Any handset can press at any time to leave the conference call. It looks like you can use the multiple system sets together, but the system is not designed to do what you are asking for. Please repost with any other comments or questions. Answering system

It first sounds as if the handset isn't charged properly. Check the battery status first. The manufacture advises to charge the system for approx. 7 hours before any use occurs. Second, make sure that the registration took, when programming the phone originally. I would de-register the handset by: 1 {MENU} i {0}{0}{2} 2 {3}{3}{5} i {OK} 3 Select the handset you want to cancel by pressing the desired handset number ({1} ? {4}). Then re-register by: 1 Handset: {MENU} i {0}{0}{1} 2 Base unit: KX-TG6021/KX-TG6022/ KX-TG6023 Press and hold {LOCATOR} until the IN USE indicator flashes. KX-TG6051/KX-TG6052/ KX-TG6053/KX-TG6054 Press and hold {LOCATOR/ INTERCOM} until the IN USE indicator flashes. LAfter the IN USE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute. 3 Handset: Press {OK}, then wait until a beep sounds. 4 {OFF} Third, make sure that the display on the handset does not show "SP-Phone" in the display, if it does press the phone icon button. Fourth, Do you currently have voicemail from your phone service provider? If so, the answering machine will not answer. Make sure that the answering machine portion is turned on. Do this by: Press {ANSWER ON} to turn on/off the answering system. When the answering system is turned on, the ANSWER ON indicator lights. When the answering system is turned off, the ANSWER ON indicator turns off. If there are any further questions or comments, please post here. Please rate this solution through fix-it. Thank you
