I Purchased behringer c1 u microphone and I want to record my singing with karoke..Problem is that when I connect laptop with speakers my singing volume is coming louder but sound of background music is...

You need a mixer. Connect the microphone to the mixer and also the background music. That way you have separate control of volume for the voice and the music.
The background noise can come from different sources. One of them is from the laptop itself, if the laptop is noisy to begin with.

Does not drown out background noise, only makes it louder

If you have just bought these, take them or send them back.

Turn down background noise?

Look in the menus for a setting labeled "Hall" etc that will cause background sound to be louder than people talking in the foreground etc--a lot of sets have this and the background being louder usually points to it being on.

It can be in audio menu or another sub menu---experiment a bit to find it.

Background sound far louder than commentators

That has nothing to do with the TV. It depends on the input signal received. You can perhaps adjust the graphic equalizer and control this to certain extent.

After a gig last night we tried our Marshall JCM 2000 DSL401and it had developed two noises without anything plugged in. The first is a transformer hum that I'd never noticed before and when standby is...

Likely the filter capacitors have a problem. Best to take this in for repair... it is ODD that there is noise with the standby switch is in standby... That makes no sense... In standby it appears that power is removed from the power amp high voltage so nothing should come through the speaker... Unles maybe one off the power tubes had a total meltdown which should have blown the fuse.

Loud background noise

Have you already tried to lower the volume on the headset itself some steps, during the call, until you hear the conversation clearly?
Just my 2 cents... Carlos

User hears faint static while on a call. It's not load enough to make it hard to hear the caller, but a noticable crackling/static noise can be heard in the background. happens on every call.

Cell phones transmit the sound as digital data. The data when converted back to analog to listen too CAN have "digitizing noise" which will sound like static.

WORSENING the problem is if there is noise in the background of the person sending the voice and the worst possiblle is to have MUSIC in the background. These both drive the CODEC (the analog conversion system) crazy and will create what you describe. The CODEC is designed to transmit ONLY voice.

The background music is louder than the voices

in the menu there should be some type of set up for this, it will most times show you on your screen a room with all the speakers in it and ask you to hit test then it will shoot a white noise type of sound around to each speaker and ask if you heard it, there are then adjustments you can make for the front, rear, and side sperkers independent of one another.
