About last week my hp computer after i have switched it on i was expecting it to boot to my desktop interface but rather input signal out of range was what appeared on my screen so i tried my system unit with another monitor and it was working after that i also tried my monitor with a different system unit and it also worked so after that i was a bit confused and i brought back my system unit and my computer together and connected them and it still gave me input signal out of range so i realized my hp keyboard was cordless and even thought it is not working but after i went to the system bois and had made some changes i became certain that it was working so i would be very glad if u can assist me solve this problem as soon as possible
Thanks
Some monitors have low resolution, that if it doesn't support that resolution then you'll expect an "input signal out of range" message on screen. try to boot on "safe mode" if it works then you have to lower your screen resolution at "display properties" if not then the monitor has a defective data cable. ;)
Me too has got the same problem
plz help us
All you have to do I think is adjust the monitor video card refresh rate from 85 to like 75 and it should work for you.

I am currently working on an I-INC iF251 H monitor that is capable of displaying up to 1920 x 1080 resolution and yet, even with a 1024x768 signal, it shows "Input Signal out of Range" in a small box in the center (which is on top of the normal computer display that it is also showing) I get the same "Out of range" when I'm using the HDMI input also. So it is obviously a monitor problem in this case.

Input out of range means only that refresh rate must be changed ... if u don't get windows menu or boot in windows and change refresh rate , please turn computer off (and power cord) then switch jumper CLcmos or remove bios battery and then connect it back in place. Then as windows starts POST hit delete for bios , if bios have load optimal defaults please load , and then save an exit. and your gpu's settings are restarted. This applies for PCI based graphic cards and NOT integrated ones !

well, im trying to change the resolution of my screen into something smaller, since everything is so huge and gives me headaches, but it seems like i cant change it. and always says Input signal out of range/
Me too. I have a 15" NEC Multisync 1550 lcd monitor that worked fine until I re-install windows (Windows Me). Now all I get is "Input Signal Out of Range" message. What might have changed?
i used the command alt gr + f11, and the screen turns black, with a dialog "input signal out of range change settings to 1366x768-60Hz" i tried to introduce the command control+alt+supr, it didn't make difference, so i really need how to change the resolucion
