Make sure you connected wires right both on player and tv. There are Two ways to connect it.
1. Use 3 wires: white, red, yellow. White and red are for audio and yellow is for video. Yellow need to be connect to yellow port on TV and DVD player

2. 5 wires. Again red and white are for audio. And there is another red plus green and blue. Those 3 are for video and have to be connected to corresponding ports on TV and pkayer. Make sure you don't mix up red wires

How do I connect my philips dvd750vr dvd player to my tv? (tv is a toshiba cx32f60). thanks

Hello,

it all depends on the cord that you want to use. There are different cords that can be used to connect Tv to your player.

But I would recommend RCA cord. RCA cord is a Yellow, white and red wires. The yellow stands for video, while the white and red stands for audio left and right.

Look at the back of your TV, connect the yellow part of the cord to Video IN, the connect the red and white to Audio IN respectively.

Now, connect the other end of the wires to the player in the format; Connect the yellow to video Out, the connect the red and white to audio Out, respectively.

Turn on your TV and Player. Press source or AV on the TV remote and a display of the DVD will appear on the screewn of your TV.
That would be all.

If you still have difficulty in connecting, please let me know so that I can help further.

Yours sincerely.

How do I hook up a DVD player to a proscan 32 inch flat screen tv?

Hello,

to connect your TV to your DVD, you will be needing a RCA wire (Yellow, white and Red wire). The yellow stands for video (visual/display), while the read and white stands for audio (sound).

Look at the back of your DVD, look out for Video Out, connect the yellow wire there. Also look out for Audio Out L & R, connect the white and red wire there.

Then turn the back of your TV, you will find Video, and Audio IN, Connect the other part of the wires from the DVD to the DVD, that is, Video for video and audio for audio.

Once you have connected the wires, turn on your TV, and your DVD player, press source on your TV remote to AV, and you will see your DVD displaying on your TV.

That's to hook up your DVD to your TV. Follow instructions carefully and you won't have any problem.

Good luck.

How do i hook up my dvd player

Hello,

Get the appropriate cord for connecting the DVD player to the TV.

The chord should be three joined together. Its called an AV wire. It has yellow, white and red color at the mouth of the pin.

The yellow is for Video (Visual) while the red and white are for audio (sound).

Since the DVD is to show on the TV, the wire has to be connected as follows:

  1. Insert the yellow wire in to the yellow part of the video out of the DVD.
  2. Insert the white and red wire in to the white and red part respectively to the audio out of the DVD.
  3. Connect the other part of the yellow wire to the input of the TV
  4. Connect the white and red wire to input like wise.
  5. Put on the TV and select to AV from the TV remote and you will see a display of your DVD at the background of the TV.
At this stage you can start watching.

Take care.

I am trying to connect an akai dvd player to directv, please help

ruettab,

good day. to connect your any DVD player to any TV screen always remember this color code

from DVD back part:

yellow = video out

red/blue/green( in a row) = component video out ( this can only be used for screen with component video inputs)

Black = digital audio ( rarely use unless)
Red and white (in a row) = Audio output (left and right audio)

where to connect from TV screen.

Locate where A/V INPUTS (audio/video socket) from your TV screen, you can see it either at the BACK/SIDE or somtimes in FRONT of TV screen , having marked as "AV1"AV2"AV3' .

Once you found TV input, you must first have RCA cable (color code cable to connect player to screen) then connect the RCA cable at the back of your DVD player, simply follow color code

RCA yellow marked cable = DVD yellow socket
RCA RED and WHITE marked cable = DVD RED and white socket (second row for your player)

then connect the other end of the RCA cable to TV screen, first select which input where you gonna place the DVD player ( either AV1, Av2 or Av3 if do have multiple inputs)

once decided which INPUT to connect the player.
ex. if you select AV1 as input there would be 3socket on its row (yellow/red/white)

now connect the other end of RCA cable to the screen by following the same color code:

RCA yellow cable = TV screen A/V1 input yellow socket
RCA RED and White = TV screen A/V1 input red and white socket.

cheers,
mark

PLAYING DVD

check your connections on the back of the tv and back of the dvd player. make sure you are using the proper conections on the back of the tv. if you connect the RCA (composite) cables (red yellow white) you should be going from the red yellow white on the tv to the red yellow white on the dvd player. if you have the component(red blue green) connection on the dvd connected to the red yellow white on the tv, you may get a black and white picture. If this does not work, check the manual for the dvd player and see if there is a way to turn "Progressive Scan" features off, some older TV's cannot handle a progressive scan dvd player.
