on the opposite side of the carburator it has 2 ears on it just turn it on the side wit apan under it the older models have a drain plug underneath use a 3/8 extension on it turn countr colckwise .
The Tecumseh OV358EA 13.5hp takes one quart of oil, 32oz or 39oz with filter. Use 30W except if it is used in very cold climates. MTD makes a drain tool for around $5 that clips onto the drain plug area and allows you to direct the draining oil into a container with a lot less mess. tom
I don't know what brand/model you have, but mine has a Tecumseh engine, and you empty the oil by removing the oil filler tube and tipping the engine to the side (per owner's manual). There is no plug.
