I have an Acer E360 with AMD Athlob XP 3500+ (factory default parts) it didn't sometimes start, it froze often, and it even turned off without warning. I decided to vacuum clean the computer inside, it was very dusty. i took off the RAM, and vacuum cleaned the RAM ports, i put the RAM back, and try to boot. It starts normally for about few secs, and starts an endless beep. Nothing appears on the screen. What should I do?
Hi vilu_repo! There are a couple of things that could be wrong with the memory. First thing to remember is that anytime you touch anything inside your computer, you must be touching the metal chassis at all times to prevent static from zapping the electronics. Make sure the memory is completely pushed down and locked in place. The lock tabs at the end will move up when you do. Your computer should have 2 banks with 2 slots to each bank. The first two slots is one bank, the last two are the other bank. Your memory has to be installed in matched pairs in each bank (same speed and size). If all four slots are filled, make sure the memory is matched in each bank. And if all four slots are filled, and your computer still won't boot, you can try removing one bank of memory at a time. If that works, then you need to replace the bad memory. If this helps you, then please rate this answer. Thanks! Hal
Ok ill tell u wats wrong, one of the hardware needed to start up the computer is damaged... wat you do find out what motherboard is inside and look up the beep sequences and see whats wrong with it.... REMEMBER: the beep means error XD jst look the motherboard up
