Labtec 285 Speaker System

I had virus's on my pc. Everything was wiped off and no my audio devices arent working. In control panels it says I have no audio devices and doesnt allow me to use to drop down boxes to change any of the settings. Does this mean my sound card has been unistalled? If so how do I get another sound card? I purchased the speakers with the pc and all was working fine until this happened. The speakers do turn on as I can hear interfearance with my phone etc but I cannot get any sound from them? Please help . ..!

I have the exact same problem, what i suggest is finding your manual, and CD to install (if u have one) because i remember this problem a while back when i first got it, but after i installed it was ok...if you dont have the manual or disk, you could look for an online instalation manual (which is what im doing right now)

click start right click on computer select properties then device manager scroll to sound and video game controllers if you see a yellow question/exclamation mark or a red X the driver will need to update drivers
click start right click on computer select properties then device manager scroll to sound and video if you right click on sound and video then on high definition audio device select update driver software
click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices right click on your speaker select configure speakers
right click on the speaker icon in the bottom taskbar you will see an array of options select playback devices make sure it has a green tick and the correct speakers are selected

you might have to configure them then select properties you will see tabs general level in this tab make sure your settings are loud enough also enhancements and advanced from the drop down
