Is the tablet still under warranty? If so, the replacement and repair cost may be covered by the manufacturer and you will need to take or send the tablet to an authorized repair center. Check the owner's manual which came with the tablet.
Without knowing the make of the tablet, I cannot direct you to the right web site and Customer Service number to call.
Note: For some tablets, replacement and repair can cost over $100 (U.S.)
you cant but some cell repair shop can weird i just put my phone in for the same thing mine was cracked for the longest time but i still used it then the phone screen one day went black so i asked a friend he told me were and for only 20 bucks SWEET so they look at it and tell me it would be $120 bucks i asked why for my friend
told me 20 he told me that i had broke both the upper and lower glass he told me that upper glass only is 20 but both are 120 thats for a GS3. so on a fire is more money for bigger screen so if u still see something careful and to much heat would crack it.do some research look around compare prices look for the good price with great workmanship hope this
Sounds like a rough one. Repair the crack? @ things ... Replace the glass and or the screen. You do not want to get any glue or used for that purpose. The glass is to protect the screenso, it would be best to look into replacing the glass. It might be part of the screen itself.
Good Luck-Ned-
Sorry, but I think you need to take it to an authorised Apple repair shop (or Apple Store) to change the screen... If it still works, you could try and fill some clear glue or silicon in the cracks as a temporary measure, but it sounds like cutting yourself is easy...
kathee, I think you have to have manufacturer authorized service place to replace the glass. Check manual re: the procedure and if still covered under warranty. I know the feeling.
The glass is a moderate difficulty repair. You would need a plastic pry bar, a hair dryer or heat gun to get the glue off and the glass for the iPad 3 runs about $100
