I have a Bosch SHU5315UC and the only cycle that will run is the rinse/hold. None of the other cycle buttons will work. It seems as if they have no resistance or spring back when pressed. Any ideas?

Depending on age and other factors; key pads do wear out and require replacement. Many of these controllers us a silicone positive touch system like the keypad on a computer. Others use a direct contact system that has a spring action and contact points. If the later fails, it can be due to use, a breakdown of the recoil system, or damaged contacts.

SOURCE: Dishwahser rinse cycle running for hours

I have a Bosch SHU5316 -- same symptoms -- turned out to be the control module (the thing with the lights & buttons on it). First replaced under parts warranty. The next time, I did it myself (you take part of the door apart). Not too bad to do, but the module cost about $100. Since this was the second time it happened, I bought a "lifetime" replacement warranty on the module ($10). Best ten bucks I ever spent. I am on my third module.

I'd say it is the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door. I have a Bosch SHU5316.

We have a Bosch dishwasher model SHU5315UC/U06. When we ran a "Regular Wash" the dishwasher ran continuously and the timer did not count-down. None of the Delicate or Rinse and Hold buttons responded. ...

My father-in-law has a Bosch and they had the same problem. The tech guy said it was not heating properly and that caused it to continously run because it won't tick down the timer if it doesn't reach a certain temp, so try turning your faucet as hot as you can, right before you turn on the dishwasher and see if that is the problem, if not the heating element might not be working properly. If you still have a warranty, try to get them to see and fix it, otherwise, get a repairman to check it out. You can also turn up your hot water heater, but not so hot it would be dangerous to use, but enough to get the temp up. Otherwise the heating element might need to be replaced.

Reset model smu7052uc

press the rinse & hold/quick wash buttons at the same time until dishwasher begins to cycle then release. Dishwasher will run quickly through the rest of the cycles (without starting them) back to ground zero.

I HAVE A BOSCH SHU5315UC THE MOTOR IS RUNNING BUT NO WATER IS COMING OUT CAN YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA WHAT TO DO?

I had this same problem, It seems to be caused by a sticking float. Try filling it with water by hand with a few cups of water and then try running it through the rinse/hold cycle.

Not cleaning dishes

Our Bosch does a pretty good job of washing dishes. But we rinse most of the time. Not a hard rinse, but a rinse.

Are both spray bars rotating? You can test by seeing that the bars rotate easily by hand, and also by starting a cycle and opening the door real quick when you hear the spray hit the door.

Make sure the spray bar nozzles are all clear.

Has it ever done a good job of cleaning dishes?

DI you leave a heavy build-up of food on the dishes, and allow it to dry before washing?

Dishwahser rinse cycle running for hours

Do you have high temp rinse or sanitize selected? This will pause the timer during the final rinse cycle to heat the water. The sensor might be bad. Try the quick cycle, I don't think this heats the water.

Bosch washer spin only

Had a repair man here for the same issue. Learned two things:

1. Too much detergent causes 'soap lock.' The electronics will get confused when there's too many suds left after a rinse and shut the spin cycle down. That's why re-running the entire cycle without more detergent solves the problem. Use less detergent.

2. There is a way to manually get the spin cycle to run using diagnostics codes. Here's what my guy did:

a. Washer selection knob in OFF position.
b. Hold the 'Spin Selection' and 'Delay Start' buttons down at the same time.
c. While holding those two buttons, turn the Washing selector knob to Permanent Press-Cold.
d. Keep the buttons held down until the LCD control panel reads 'P:01'
d. Release buttons.
e. Use the 'Spin Selection' button to cycle thru the codes. Stop when it reads 'P:04' which is the spin cycle.
f. Press 'Start/Pause' button to begin the spin cycle.

I don't know what the other codes do but this should save you from having to run the entire wash cycle.

Hope that helps! Tim
