I have a Quickie S646SE wheelchair with a Qtronics Pilot+ romote controller. I charged the chair last night. When I turned it on today the profile lights scroll left to right and the chair does not move. I found that this means "chair is locked use key to unlock". I have not been able to find the unlock procedure.

I received a note today that your experts had not found a solution yet and needed additional information. I have since solved the problem. This joystick control has a quick disconnect where the cable comes into the back of the joystick. I unplugged the cable for about 30 seconds then re-connected it. when I re-connected it the lockout was cleared. I hope this will help someone else in the future. Thank you for your assistance.

The right motor will need to be replaced. What reason did they give why Meduicare wouldn't pay for repair If the Aspire is your only chair then Medicare will pay. If you have received a new chair since the Aspire then Medicare will only pay for repair to the newer chair. You can contact a repair service other than the home Medical to get the chair fixed. You can contact Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 for repair Hope this helps you

Power control problem

I dont think just replacing the controls will help. Best send an email to Quickie support: [email protected]

Or if you are confident of repairing this yourself, you can get parts direct from the website:

My chair will not move and the charge light flashes continuously, both when the charger is plugged in and when it is detached.

The VSI controller is manufactured by Penny and Giles Drive Technology. A picture of all the flash codes and their meaning can be found at:

http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html

This is a terrific way to diagnose the problem with your chair. A technician will have a hand held programmer to read all the faults stored in the VSI controller log. This will give you an overall picture of the condition of all the electrical components of the chair, past and current faults. Hope this helps.

How do i charge the battery

Carla Under the front bottom of the joystick you will see a charger port its a three pin port that accepts the plug from the charger. Always plug the charger into this port with the charger off or not plugged into the electircal socket. Then plug the charger into the electical socket or turn it on. You should see a red light and a yellow light on the charger. When the tellow light turns green the batteries are charged. You should get into the habit of charging the batteries each night if you use the chair daily. Just plug in the charger when you go to bed and turn it off when you get up. If you only use the chair a little then always store it fully charged and then charge it once a week if it hasn't been used. Hope this helps you

Flashing battery life lights, quickie 525s

The chair is either in freewheel or the number of flashes will indicate an error code to tell what the problem is. Look in your users manual for error codes or contact Sunrise Medical Tech support

When you turn the chair on the light just binks

If it is just one red light blinking, then your batteries are below the level necessary to power the chair. Charge and see if they come back up, or replace if they won't.

My quickie aspire wont turn on

3 months is too long for gel batteries to sit off-charge, without being fully charged first, then disconnected before storage.

Your charger is trying to charge, but the batteries aren't cooperating. This chair accepts either the Group 22 or Group 24 gel-sealed batteries. 22 are about 50 amphour, and 24 are about 74 amphour, and will give you greater range. Cost for a set of two of either is going to be about $350 and $450 respectively. Ouch!

QTRONIX joystick for a Quickie P200 wheelchair diagnostics

Any reputable dealer will have a PnG or Qutronix programmer that plugs into the chair in order to program the profiles. This dealer obviously does`nt know that. Call a different dealer.
