The light green wire should be wired to the power supply side of the parking brake switch. This then provides the parking brake on/off information to the multimedia receiver. See section 26 Connection on page 50 of the manual. Pioneer has the manual available on the product support page: https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD+Receivers/AVH-X1600DVD . Try resetting the unit using a pen. While powered on, click the reset button and this should resolve your problem. If it doesn't the problem maybe related to parking brake cable not being connected properly.
ground the wire to a hot (ie power comes to the wire) switch in your dash, like a rear window defroster or seat heater. turn the switch on then off and it will trick the system into thinking you activated the parking brake.
I have the same problem. I conect the red and yellow wire at positive battery and the black wire to ground, but it doesn`t work. I press the reset button and nothing. I am try to turn it on with a power supply. could you tell me or show with a picture how to conect All?
