SOURCE: Uniden TRU 8885 - "Welcome, Please Wait" message on base

Try leaving the unit unplugged for a few minutes and power it up. There can be power surges during an outage that can damage the chips holding the software that loads.

Hi I have a Cordless Uniden Dect 6.0 and also another one that sitts on a bitter base. My problem is this: the cordless with the smaller base shows the message 'Searching' and wont do anything,...

Welcome to FixYa.

Reset the units/set up by doing the following:
  • Turn OFF all the HANDSETS.
  • Remove the batteries of the HANDSETS.
  • Unplug the power source of the BASE.
  • Unplug the phone line of the BASE.
  • Let it stay that way for 30 mins.
  • Insert the battery again of the HANDSETS, make sure it is charged properly.
  • Plug back the power source of the BASE.
  • Plug back the phone line to the BASE.
  • Register any handset that is unregistered (refer to manual).

Keep me posted.

Satelite phone ..light keeps blinking

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Phone says ''Welcome ... please wait'' when you try to use it

Hi,

I tried to copy and paste the solution for this issue, but Fixya only allows so many charecters and I guess the answer is too long.
Go to http://www.uniden.com/index/manuals_results.cfm?cat=1

and select the owner's manual for your model phone. Follow the procedures for deregistering the handsets and then resetting the base. then re-register the handsets and you should be good to go. It is all pretty easy, just a little to wordy for this forum I guess.

Uniden DSS7855+1, flashing ''welcome! please wait...'', wont work

This is not a direct solution to your problem, but a workaround for a similar situation. I have two headsets and two charging stations. One of the headsets was stuck with the message ''Welcome! please wait''. When I put the phone on the charging station it usually sits on nothing would happen, but when I put it on the other station the phone came back to life. The non-working charging station will still charge the phone so it is worth keeping.
