That outdoor unit takes batteries and they have to be replaced. When you replace them it is a good idea to bring the unit in the house and be close to the base. They can take up to 20 minutes to start talking to each other. The pressure and indoor temp are inside the display unit. Make sure that there are no other strong radio signals in the house that can interfere with reception.
Bring outside temp sensor indoors. Remove batteries from both remote and base. replace outside first with fresh batteries (Alkaline recommended). Then the base. Make sure they are on the same channel. When display restored, you can take the remote back outside.
Did you reset the sensors after replacing the batteries? Bring the sensor inside and close to the main unit. Replace batteries on both units. Use a thumb tack and stick it into small reset hole near battery compartment to reset both units. If that doesn't work, your sensor needs more troubleshooting or needs to be replaced.
This sounds like the compressor is not running. Causes for this happening on your model can be caused by defective start relay, run capacitor, defective fan motor and defective motherboard. The part number for the motherboard is WR55X10942
The repair is rather complex for most people on your model and I will be glad to go through how to do this if you like. Let me know and I will walk you through the repair, Thanks Sea Breeze
If "0F 0F" appears on the display, the refrigerator
is in DEMO MODE. To exit Demo Mode for controls on the outside of door,
Press and Hold the Energy Saver and Adjust Freezer buttons at the same
time for 3 seconds. To exit Demo Mode for controls inside the Fresh
Food Compartment, Press and Hold the Ice Off and Freezer buttons at the
same time for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep and "0F 0F" will no
longer be displayed. Adjust Refrigerator and Freezer temperature to the
desired settings. Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize. here is a video explaining (for all models) what is to do .. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/topic/RSG257AARS/XAA
I had the same problem, Since the outside temp wouldn't read, I figured it was the outside unit batteries. Went through half a dozen AAA batteries and wouldn't read. It was the indoor unit. Had the same bats I installed 3 years ago. DUH! Replaced the AAA, and all was well. When the inside batteries die out, it has just enough juice to read indoor temp, but not enought to sense exterior signal.
