Can't play my PS3 through the Panasonic TH-42PZ800A

I just bought a PS3 to use with my Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ800A . I hooked it all up through the HDMI ports. I got picture and sound for about 5 minutes, then the screen went blank (the TV lost the signal). I tested the HDMI cable with another DVD player and it worked fine. I hooked up the PS3 with the AVI cables and it worked fine too. I took the PS3 back and Harvey Norman swapped it over, got back home and still have the same problem.

Can anyone help?

I'm trying to plug my ps-3 to my panasonic viera th-50pz80u with an AV multi-out but i have no signal. No sounds, no images. Please help me

Hi there,

In your PS3 configuration you'll likely have to set the PS3 so that it is using the multi-AV rather than HDMI.(In Video Output Settings) Also on the TV input you'll have to select composite in rather than HDMI.

No manual was with the new TV I bought and cannot find one on line for a Viera TH-L 19X10ZK

I don't see a TH-L19X10ZK on Panasonic's site. I did find a manual for the TH-L19X19A-K, http://www.panasonic.com.au/support/downloads/file_type_results.cfm?fileTypeID=2&productCategoryID=140&productID=7511, scroll to the bottom of the page. I believe this is the same model but for sale in Australia. I also found the TH-L19X10Z here: http://www.panasonic.co.nz/viera/lcds/th-l19x10z.html (scroll to the bottom of the page)

I hope this helps.

Just bought a 50 panasonic viera, when we hook up ps3 on hdmi cable, we have sound but no picture.

Plasma TV normally do not have the resolution required for PS3 unless the plasma TV is fullHD( 1920x1080p) pixels.

HD Ready Plasma = 1024 x 768p
PS3 Outputs = (fullHD)1920x1080 or (HDReady) 1280 x 720p.

LCD TV accepts the resolution matches the resolution the PS3 is outputting.
