Most Dryers are pretty much the same.
when i deal with replacing the belt or tensioner or ignitor the drum usually needs to be taken out. The drum rides on some bearings on the very front lip and sometimes on the back as well. It loosely rides on them (which makes it easy to just kinda lift it off them) then the belt kinda goes slack and can easily take it off.The ones i have done required removing the bottom cover then the door/frame cover off and disconnecting the door close switch and putting them off to the side and then taking the drum out. Take care in taking the front frame off as the drum might drop and get dented (try to cushion it from the bottom panel area) Be careful trying to access the drum from the backside as most of the electrical and gas (if its a gas dryer) lines are back there creating quite an obstacle course for you. However some have access panels back there for some parts replacement. The heater and blower just sit on the bottom and are forced in by the fact the only route to get the air out is through the drum (dryers are very simple machines you will find) I have rebuilt quite a few from the 70's 80's and today and they all look pretty much the same. Dont Be afraid to take the front apart. Worse case is needing a brief hand to hold the drum up as you set the front back on. Then after you get the screws in...give the drum a spin and make sure it moves freely...And make sure the belt runs along the whole drum...but set it on the idler AFTER the drum in installed. (Install drum with belt on but NOT on the idler/tensioner) And after drum is set...reach under and set ther belt through the idler/tensioner/motor.. Take a picture of it BEFORE you take it apart (with a cellphone or better) of the belt path to restore it to the same belt path as before (Looks alot like a car serpentine belt and can get confusing if you arent familiar with it) Hope this helps you out. post more Questions if you are unsure of anything by adding comment and ill check and try to help (if someone else doesnt beat me to ya) Good Luck. 8-)
