Make sure that the clock is set for the correct time zone and that the DST (Daylight Saving Time) function is ON. Also, although not mentioned in the manuals, these clocks will typically jump and hour ahead or behind when the batteries get weak. Replace your batteries if they are more than a year old.

To correct the time on your Sharp Atomic clock, you will need to reset the time zone. To do this, press and hold the "Time Zone" button for 3 seconds until the time zone flashes. Then, press the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to adjust the time zone to the correct time zone. Once the time zone is set, press the "Time Zone" button again to save the settings. Manual Time Setting
In case the Skyscan Atomic Clock is not able to detect the WWVB-signal (disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manually set. The clock will then work as a normal Quartz clock.

How do I set time zone? S/N: 502 16764PH.

Setting The Time, The First Time IMPORTANT: The first time you connect your new SmartSet clock radio to the AC outlet the internal computer will automatically set the time correctly for the Eastern Time Zone, which is the initial default setting. The display will scan for a few seconds and then show the correct Day and Time in the Eastern zone. If you live in the Eastern Time zone, there's nothing else to do. Your clock is set correctly and running. If you do not live in the Eastern Time zone you must change the default zone display to your own zone. You only do this one time and the SmartSet will remember the new default zone setting and will always return to that setting after a power interruption. There are 7 time zones programmed into your SmartSet clock radio as follows: ZONE 1 - Atlantic Time ZONE 2 - Eastern Time (Default Setting) ZONE 3 - Central Time ZONE 4 - Mountain Time ZONE 5 - Pacific Time ZONE 6 - Yukon Time ZONE 7 To c h a n g e t h e d e f a u l t t i m e z o n e d i s p l a y, depress the TIME ZONE button. How do I set the alarm on my Sharp Accu-Set Model SPC452?

  • 1 Insert batteries into your atomic clock. Without these the clock won't work. The number of batteries required depends on the clock. There is usually a panel on the back of the clock where you can insert the batteries.
  • 2 Set the clock. Usually, this is done automatically, as the clock will seek out and receive the signal within 6 to 8 minutes. If this doesn't happen, you'll need to do it yourself. Hold down the "Set" button. A figure on the clock will start blinking. Adjust this by pressing the adjustment button. Press "Set" again to go to a new time. Continue until the clock is properly set. No matter what you put time you put in manually, the clock should adjust to the atomic setting within 48 hours.
  • 3 Set the time zone on your atomic clock. How to do this depends on your specific clock. On some, there is a time zone slider; you simply slide it to your time zone. Otherwise, you will need to enter the manual mode you used to set the clock. Switch the mode until the time zone starts blinking. Now, adjust until your current time zone is selected. If it goes by Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the time zones in the United States are -5 for Eastern time, -6 for Central, -7 for Mountain, and -8 for Pacific.

Need to reset atomic clock to Virginia time zone; now 4 hours ahead

To set up your clock simply install one fresh AA, LR6 ALKALINE battery. Due to the nature of long wave radio signals it is normally not possible to receive a signal during the day so it is best to install the battery late in the evening. Select your time zone by pressing one of the four time zone buttons PT-Pacific Time, MT-Mountain Time, CT-Central Time, ET-Eastern Time. The time zone buttons may be pressed any time after installing the batteries. If multiple buttons are pressed the clock will set to the time zone selected last. If no time zone is selected the clock will default to Pacific Time. Another time zone can be selected during or after the clock has set itself. Your clock can only set itself to one of the four time zones stated above. For time zones outside of PT, MT, CT or ET you must manually set the time using the Manual Time set button on the back of the movement.
When the battery is installed the second hand will advance eight seconds (two seconds per step x four steps). The clock is now searching for a signal. For the initial setting it is recommended to stand the clock in an upright position near a window. Within five minutes the clock will either receive the WWVB signal and set itself to the exact time, or it will determine that the signal is not receivable at its current location and time of day. If a signal is not receivable it will fast-forward the hands to the 4, 8, or 12 o'clock position and search for WWVB each
hour until a signal is received. If the time is manually set the clock will continue to periodically search for a signal and automatically reset the hands when the signal is received.

Resetting the atomic clock to the correct time zone, and outside temp to work.

For the Sharp SPC374T Atomic Clock - Time Zone setting- Press the 'Time' button once, the time zone will show where 'Day' usually is, use the Up or Down buttong to adjust.

For the outdoor Thermo, credit to my neighbor for this one. Remove battery from main unit, wait 2-3 minutes. Reload batteries. Once you get a reading from the outdoor sensor, hit the reset on the main unit. You will have to reset the time zone as described above, but this worked for me after 10 months of no outside temp showing up!

    Good luck,

    Centrios Atomic Desk Clock/Temperature

Here is how you adjust the time zone:
1.) push MODE till "AL" appears after the minute.
2.) tap "SET" (tap means push but do not hold) and time zone will advance.

3.) THE TRICK: The Time Zone can only be set in the Alarm Mode. Make sure you so not push and hold "SET" until the hour flashes as you would to set the alarm time. You just go into Alarm Mode and tap "SET" to advance the Time Zone by one zone per tap. When the Time Zone is where you want it, tap MODE to return to the clock and set the correct time.
