Dvd burner My tv is set to work on channel 72 for Dish. When I put it on channel 3 or 4 to use the dvd burner, turn the dvd burner on, and the blue screen comes on. I press the "source" button until it says "tuner," and it usually works. However suddenly it's stopped working. If I press the source button and chose channel 72, it now says no signal. But if I select channel 73, the audio comes on without picture and the screen says "no signal." I have replaced the cable and tried different RF Modulator. Nothing seems to work. What could it be?

it could be that your scrolling the channels and ports for your dish network menu and not your tv menu if your using a remote try changing the setting via the tv itself, also try disconnecting the dish network supply then try try using the net gear stuff, personally I would say get the new x-box one system because it has blue-ray capabilities, stream music and videos, movies, it has Netflix and hulu and all that stuff that your computer and phones can do now including video chat, voice recognition, hands free movements recognition and yeah it just does everything... hope this helps

A blue screen with "No Signal" is usually related to a video problem. The TV may be getting changed off the correct input/channel, or the video cable might be going bad.

If you have a spare, I would recommend a different cable and seeing if that fixes the problem. If it continues, verify the input/channel your TV is on when it receives a picture and if it goes out try putting it back on that input/channel.

Hi, I am sorry you are having a problem with your DISH video. A blue screen means you are on the correct channel or input on your TV. If you turn the Tv off and then back on, ehat channel ot input does it say it is on. You should be on channel 3 if at TV1 or 60 or 73 if at TV2. Hi hartbettinaI see where your TV2 has a blue screen, there are a couple of things you can doyou can do. The first things you want to do is press the buttons of MENU-6-1-5and see if TV2 is set to channel 60 or 73 and make sure TV2 is on that channel.Once TV2 is on the channel on the Modular Setup page you will want to unplugthe receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in and it will reset itself. Hi. This is Phil with DISH Network. Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the video, lets get that fixed. There are some thing we want to check first. Let's first make sure that both the TV, receiver, and everything in between, are powered on. Then we want to find out which channel your TV is on, this can be done by turning the TV off then back on again. If your TV is connected by a coax cable, for receivers with a TV1 output on the back panel: Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4 so that picture appears. For receivers with a Home Distribution output on the back panel (the TV without the receiver by it, or TV2) tune TV to channel 62 or 75. If non-coax, cycle through TV inputs until picture appears. These steps usually fix that issue; if they don't then check that the connections between your DISH receiver, your TV, and any component(s) (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) in between are secure. If the issue is only on one receiver, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in, wait for the receiver to turn on by itself, usually withing 5 mins, and the picture should come in after that. Sometimes the input/channel for the DISH Network and the DVD are different, and if using the same for both, then you will get an unclear picture on one. If at TV1, the tv will need to be on channel 3 or 4, and possibly an input such as video 1 or 2. The DVD player may be on a different input, such as video 3, or even just on channel 3 only. If at TV2, the tv needs to on channel 60 or 73. When using the DVD, try putting the tv on channel 3 or 4, that is normally the channel that the tv needs to be on. Also, make sure that the DVD player is not on while you are trying to watch just the dish.

Are you still having problems with your receiver? Depending on the type TV you have, TV 1, on an older TV will use channel 3 of 4. A newer TV will have an input setting. If you have the TV remote, press either the "input", "source", or "tv/video" button to cycle through the input settings till you find a picture. Make sure the green, blue, and amber lights are lit on the receiver. TV 2 should be on channel 60 or 73. I hope this helps.

I believe that I have the solution to that problem... When you are hooked up to cable or dish and use a VCR, you MUST have the program you wish to tape playing on the Cable or dish program, therefore the VCR needs to be tuned to channel 3 or 4 {whichever is the unused channel in your area) I believe that all you have to do is make sure that the TV is tuned to the channel you wish to tape and program the VCR to Channel 3 (at my area) or channel 4.

I hope this works for you. I have VCRs hooked up to all my sets and this is how mine work.

Not sure about this, but my guess would be that you don't have the correct channel set on the DVD recorder. It has to be the channel that you use to receive your signal, NOT the channel that you necessarily want to record. For instance- if you use channel 3 to receive your signal from dish, cable etc but want to record a program on (hypothetically) CBS which is (again hypothetically) channel 24 from your dish or cable provider you would go to "Prog/Check" on the remote, highlight the "New Timer Program" line and press "Enter", and then use the numeric buttons to select channel 3 (the channel you use to receive your signal, NOT 24, the channel you want to record). You will have to program your dish/cable box to provide the channel with the content you want to record, in this case- 24.

you can try changing the assigned channel.you should have to put the second T V on a certain channel like channel 72 or 68 or something like that.on the main reveiver you should go into the menu and poke around in the setting until you see a REMOTE ADDRESS option walk through the steps and change the channel that the second TV receives its picture on, you should shoot for channel 62-72.also make sure the hisense is set to a cable input.you can go into the menu on the hisense and go to your settings and change this .it will be on CABLE or ANTENNA.try switching those around.also did you have sound before coming out of the coax output on the hisense? if your not sure then plug a vcr into and make sure the TV is working with different equipment.GOOD LUCK!
