I have easycap dc6o in Win7 x32, I downloaded STK1160 Grabber. All works fine, but Audio quality is too bad. I saw that I can't change the recording quality through windows sound options (recording tab). It only has one option: 1 channel, 8bits, 8000Hz. The dropdown menu is blank. Also, in the list with the devices, it shows 2 microphones and no Line in. The second microphone is the EasyCap (it says "2-USB audio interface" underneath it. I tried re-install drivers or intall diferent drivers, but the system says that I have the correct and updated drivers. Does anyone knows about this? How can I fix it?
You have told us the operating system, but not what type of computer you have. For example if the video from the device is good you could, if the computer has an audio in socket, use that to connect the device. Many VCR's etc have audio out so just use that as a direct connection, then it doesn't matter if the capture device sound settings don't match your computer's. The main thing is the video feed is good.
Thanks for you answer. Well, the VCR has only a Scart out. I have a SCART to RCA adapter and used it to connect the VCR with the EasyCap 2.0 USB device. My computer does not have an audio in socket. Only mic in and usb's. The quality of the video is good. I was thinking that if I could use the EasyCap for the video input and somehow connect the 2 audio RCA's from the SCART to RCA adapter to the mic input of my computer, I could get good quality of video and sound. But can I do this? I mean, are they gonna be synchronised well? I'm using Cyberling Power Director for capturing.... Thanks in advance.
You might be able to connect a usb to RCA lead to one of the usb ports on your computer. Also you can get a switcher box if the VCR needs to be connected to a TV and has only one scart, the one shown below was sold on Amazon. You can get a scart to RCA lead shown below to get the audio out from the VCR.
