Dryer heats for 5 minutes then no heat, but keeps tumbling

Perhaps the flame sensor is not working. If it does not sense heat, it will shut off the gas. You might go online and search for a manual to help you troubleshoot, or go to:

for troubleshooting help and parts. I hope this is of help to you.

Dryer only works on 1 setting and is not heating

If your dryer is not heating assuming is a gas dryer. It could be due to The electrical fuse igniter is not working or no gas is going in. Need to remove the front bottom cover and check that the fuse is igniting when you turn on the dryer. You should hear a clicking noise just before the igniter turns red ( glowing) to receive the gas and create the flame to then produce the heat. If you are not able to see the fuse/igniter conduct this process, you might need to replace it.

Hi, Two problems. The first I believe is rollers - drum clunks when turning. The second problem is it blows cold - no heat. What part is needed to repair this. Thanks.

Well, check the rollers for flat spots, could also be the belt drive pulleys especially if you've overloaded the dryer and caused it to stop tumbling.
Secondly while the front cover is off look at the heating element used to trigger the gas valve ( igniter ) next check out the light or flame sensor, if the pilot flame ignites but the major flame doesn't then the sensor may be malfunctioning.

Kitchen aid dryer / heat flame not staying on after 20 secs

Sounds like your gas valve is fine, if it comes on at all, its good. A air flow restriction would cause a overheat condition and shut down the burner. Once it cools back down the burner would re-ignite and repeat the cycle. The sensor on the left of the burner is the flame sensor and the flame wouldn't come on at all if it was bad. You've already changed the coil kit so the valve is fine, disconnect the vent from the back of the dryer and see if the problem goes away. If the problem stays, I would suspect the thermostat. Good luck.

My dryr tumbles but does not dry

Gas dryer? First thing to check is the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it)  It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off.  If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the gas valve coils may have to be replaced.  If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

Electric dryer? Temperature sensor has failed or heating element has burned out.
