Bought a new TV now the remote won't talk to the sat box

Hi mgreaper my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network there is a way toprogram your DISH Network remote to your new TV. What you can do is what wecall a "power scan" and it finds the code for your TV to our DISH Networkremote, The first thing you want to do is hold down the clear TV button for 6seconds and then push and release the big red Power button and press andrelease the Channel Up button until the TV turns off and then stop. Then youwill want to press the # button and press the red TV button and make sure yourvolume and mute are working. I will send a link to help with the Power Scan. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions

Dish Network IR Remote's SAT Mode Not Working ________________________________________ I programmed my Dish Network Remote (IR 1.5 Blue Button Remote Control ) for my Sharp 27F543 and now the remote would...

Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH.

If you are trying to get the remote programmed to the receiver you can remove the smartcard from the receiver and that will prompt the system info screen. This will allow you to program the remote to the receiver.

If you need the process for programming the remote, here it is:
  1. Go to System Info screen (in this case -- obtain by removing smartcard from receiver)
  2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  4. Press the pound (#) button
  5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
Hope this helps!

The tv is jammed. Remote is fine but have pressed the wrong button

It sounds as though you might have just accidentally pressed a button and changed the remote into an incorrect mode for example, tv, or aux modes. This would in fact prevent the remote from successfully working with the DISH Network receiver. If this is in fact the problem, then the remote simply needs to be put into "SAT" mode, once its back in SAT mode you will then be able to change channels, select menu, power receiver on and off, etc. The "SAT" button is labeled & in the upper left hand corner of the remote to put the remote back in satellite mode, please just press that SAT once and then release, the SAT button should briefly light up red & then the light will go out, you should then be able to use the remote again, to ensure remote was successfully changed back to SAT mode, you can press select or any other button you chose & as long as the SAT button lights up when you press another remote control button- then your all set to go & everything should be working once again! I hope this helps -please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

Can't use remote to change dish channels batteries are working fine

Hello my name is Michael Hurst with DISH Network. Sounds like your remote may need to be reprogrammed to the DISH receiver. You can press the Menu button on the receiver and that will get you to the System Info screen. Once you have this screen then press and hold Sat button until all the buttons on top of the remote flash red. Let go of the Sat button and pick a number between 1-15. Once the number is selected then press # and then Record. Watch the remote code number on the System Info screen. If this doesn't work then unplug the reciever from power outlet for 10 seconds and perform the step again.

Remote codes for the 22LV506 for a dish network remote please. none of the provided codes for this tv work. Thanks, Frank

You can power scan any dish network remote for the correct code by pressing and holding down the tv button(clear or gray button at the top of the remote) until the lights all light up, release the tv button. Press the larger red power button (not the red tv button) release button then press the channel up button repeatly givng time for tv to shut off. Once tv shuts off press pound key and red tv button to turn tv back on, Press sat key to go back to satellite mode.

When i turn on the tv it goes to a Dish Screen when i push select it doesnt do anything

I most likely need additional information to ensure this is in fact the correct resolution to your remote issue- but it sounds as though the remote may be in tv mode. If this is in fact the problem, then the remote simply needs to be put into "SAT" mode, which will enable you to be able to press select to proceed past the DISH Network screen. The "SAT" button is labeled & in the upper left hand corner of the remote just press SAT once and then release, the button should briefly light up red & then will go off, you can then press select and as long as the SAT button lights up when you press select or any other button on the remote then your all set to go! Cannot control Vip222 with sling classic

I have read elsewhere that Slingboxes required the Dish Network receivers to be set to Primary Remote Address 1.

To try a fix:

Using the Dish Network Remote Control -
1. Press menu 2 times to get to system info page
2. In the system info page the Primary Remote Address is in a white box (bubble) followed by a Green TV (1)symbol that says IR and indicates the channel to which remote control 1 is configured.

If the Primary Remote Address of your Dish VIP722 Remote control 1 is not set to channel 1, here is how to change it:

1. While displaying the system info page, press and hold the SAT button on your dish network remote until all other modes are flashing, about 3 seconds.
2. then press the '1' button on the numeric pad of your dish remote
3. then press the '#' button on the numeric pad of the dish remote
4. then press the 'record' button (red dot button - stores setting)
5. At this point you should see a number 1 in front of the primary remote address on the dish system info page

Ensure you enter the corresponding IR code into your slingbox remote control per the instructions in the Slingbox documentation.
