Ours said low salt too after we had added enough, then added 25 pounds more. I was really worried of adding too much because then you have to drain it and start all over again! We waited about 6 hours after adding the last amount, giving it plenty of time to dissolve, and now it's working fine. How long are you waiting in between additions of new salt and running the system? Good luck!
I have added 220lbs. to my 16 x 48. 70lbs more than last year, and it keeps signaling low salt. I have only had the thing for 10 months. I'm going to unhook it again, put vinegar in it again, and attempt to scrub the sensor yet again. Every time I do this it will work for about a week and then signal LOW SALT AGAIN. I know there is enough salt in the pool. It would be fine with me if it said low salt and kept doing it's thing, But it shuts off on any signal. I am sorry I have no answer. The salt water system is great when its working, But I can't afford to shell out $200.00 ever year. If this keeps up I am going back to chlorine

Mine did this as well. Called the support # in the manual and found out the electrolytic cell was bad. If the unit is less than 12 months old, it is under warranty and they will send you a new one. Trouble is........my new one has arrived and it keeps flashing "92" for high salt. In the process of draining half.....uuuggghhhhh.
SOURCE: My Salt water pump keeps saying it is low on salt.
What is plenty of salt? There is a specific amount that you need Can't guess at it.
You must be above 2800ppm and no higher than 3800ppm
3000ppm is the best
You will need test strips for salt that reads in numbers not color
High salt can also trigger a LOW salt alarm
Don't ask me, it just happens
Just remeber 3000ppm

I had the same problem and my father just kept adding salt wo telling me and it kept saying low salt-I called intex they said to clean the cell with vinegar as instructed in book, and if that didnt help to call back for a warranty claim on the unit bc I just purchased mine in June. I am currently waiting on it to come in. We had to drain half the pool and refill with water and start over. be careful!
SOURCE: code 93 saltwater system
Hi, Code 93 is telling you that the system is done running, did you mean to say it said 92? That code would be for too much salt. If indeed it is a Code 92 you are getting, give Intex a call, or email. I have found their website to be very helpful, they have a F&Q's area. Good luck!
SOURCE: intex salt water witha 18x48 witha 2000/gph pump.
nothing is wrong that you cant fix
you must have your salt no lower than 2800ppm
and no higher than 3800
3000ppm is the best
make sure you run filter only for 24 hours once you have correct salt then start generating
one last thing test with strips that read #'s not the color strips
SOURCE: My water is cloudy and says salt level low.....it
While your problems are likely greater than just the salt content in the water I can tell you that if you feel, or more importantly can taste the salt in the water your salt level is WAY TO HIGH, not low. Have the salt level confirmed with an independent test either at a pool store or using a salt tester.
