The Select key will be one of the soft keys below the handset's display. I believe it's the middle soft key when in a sub-menu. The display will have the labels for the soft keys above each key. The soft key labels change depending on what you do with the handset. Thus read the display to confirm which soft key should be pressed during an operation.

At least when you navigate the Phone book from the handset, Select is the middle soft key. This is shown clearly in the manual on page 27. You can see this manual here: http://www.payphone.com/shop/instructions/DECT4086.pdf .

To reset the handset, to the factory default settings, follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the right soft key for Menu
2. Select Settings (9)
3. Select Reset Settings (8)
4. Highlight, using the navigation keys, any of the following:
• All: Sound Profile, Display, Phone, Alarm and Bluetooth settings will be returned to default values
• Sound Profile Settings: Only sound profile settings will be returned to default values
• Display Settings: Only display settings will be returned to default values
• Phone Settings: Only phone settings will be returned to default values
• Alarms: Only alarm settings will be returned to default values
• Bluetooth: Only Bluetooth settings will be returned to default values
5. Press the key to check the box(es) of the desired Reset Settings
6. Press the left soft key for OK to set the Reset
7. Enter the password, using the keypad, default password is "0000"
8. Press the left soft key for OK
9. If prompted, Enter the password again to confirm, using the keypad
10. Press the left soft key for OK
11. Press the left soft key for Yes to reset the handset's settings to the factory defaults

I'm guessing that your looking to change the name on the telephone system and not the voice mail.
Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.
Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number.
Enter extension number you want to change the name on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should say LINE ACCESS
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display should say CAPABILITIES.
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display say Name.
press the Chng soft key.
use the dial pad to enter the name. advance using the arrow soft key to go to the next letter
ex. Bill = 2,2 -> 4,4,4 -> 5,5,5 -> 5,5,5
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) to enter the name.
Press the release key when finished

The password on the mailbox that you don't know the password to will need to be reset to access that mailbox. While in admin programming you can change the name on the mailbox.
To reset your voice mail password,on press feature 983 the screen should say log:
enter 1020000 (default password) if you have a 3 digit intercom number, 120000 if you have a 2 digit intercom number
the display should say mbox, AA, and othr above the three soft keys
press the mbox soft key
the screen should say add, del, and chng above the soft keys
press the chng soft key
enter in the mailbox number you wish to reset the password on
press ok
the screen should say reset and next above the soft keys
press the reset soft key If you pres the next soft key 2 or 3 more times you'll come to the name of the mailbox press Chng and enter in the new name (the # key advances by a space and pressing # twice puts the comma to separate the first and last name press ok when finished
press the Rls key
your password will be reset to 0000

Changing the time on a Norstar system must be done using a display phone. Using a M7310 or T7316 the right 2 buttons under the display are "NEXT" and "SHOW" respectively.

1.- To enter programming mode press "FEATURE" and "* * 2 6 6 3 4 4"
2.- Enter password (default = 266344) - display should read "Terminals & Sets"
3.- Press "NEXT"(bottom right arrow) 5 times - display should read "Time and Date"
4.- Press "SHOW" (top right arrow)- display should read "Hour:___"
5.- Press soft key "CHANGE"
6.- Enter hour - display should read "AM OK or Change"
7.- Select AM or PM
8.- Press "NEXT"(bottom right arrow) - display should read "Minutes:___"
9.- Press soft key "CHANGE"
10.- Enter minutes
11.- Press "NEXT"(bottom right arrow) - display should read "Year:___" 12.- Press soft key "CHANGE"
13.- Enter year
14.- Press "NEXT"(bottom right arrow) - display should read "Month:___"
15.- Press soft key "CHANGE"
16.- Enter month
17.- Press "NEXT" (bottom right arrow)- display should read "Day:___"
18.- Press soft key "CHANGE"
19.- Enter day

You might have to reset your display settings. You will need to turn off your PS3, Holding down the power soft key, turn the unit on in the back. Keep holding the soft key until the unit turns back off. Wait for about 15 seconds. Press the power soft key again. You will hear one beep, then a second beep. Then you will hear 2 quick beeps, as SOON as you hear those two consecutive beeps, let off the power soft key and a screen should come up to reset your display settings. Good luck!
