Motorcraft alternator to regulator

the main reason for incorrect speedo readings is the wrong size tyres or rims on the vehicle
for example if you need 185 -75 r14 on the car and you went to 205- 25 r14 that drop of 50 on the side wall height alters the circumference of the tyre so throwing out the speedo
alternately if you had 185-75 r14 and you fitted 185 -75 r16 then again the circumference has altered and so the speedo is out
next is if you changed the final drive ratio in the diff will also cause an error

doors do not alter in their openings unless the following has occurred
accident that alters the door opening shape or alters the door hinge position
badly worn hinges
people hanging off open doors or lastly
the sill panels ( rocker panels ) under the door that are part of the door opening and body strength have rusted away under the car allowing the door opening to alter and affect the doors closing properly

Alternator Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the drive belt.
3. Remove the coolant tank reservoir.
4. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
5. Remove the alterator bolts and position the alternator aside.
6. Remove the alterator.
7. Remove the battery power nut and washer.
8. Disconnect the battery positive cable and remove the alterator.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

regulator for the alternator is in side it. faulty regulator may also be the hole alternator at fault blinking battery light is bushes going on full when started can be a bad wire on the return on altinater or failed altinator.

sound like the alter belt or the alternotor itself needs to be replace to go the cheap way first i would have my battery tested and to check the alter yourself do this easy test start the car with the car running remove the postive battery cable off the battery if the car stay running then the altern is good if it shut down you need a new alter good luck

Yes it could have a bad or busted wire some where gonna have to ohm it out

the alternator may be faulty or it may be the voltage regulator is faulty, you may have to take the vehicle to an auto electrician to have the charging system tested.......cheers
